	"They don't like it up 'em!". Andy Hone lays some serious rubber in front of the packed grandstands.		Becky Allen finished the day in fifth spot in VW Sportsman.
	Chris Newsam had some strange pops and bangs when he went onto the rev limiter, and the car launched with smoke coming out the hood scoop.		Chris Stebbings is the only Supertwin Top Fuel bike competitor this weekend.
	Danny Cockerill made off with both ends of the Pro Mod track record with his 6.56 / 216 blast.		Darryl Bradford made two strong burnouts, but was unable to get the car in reverse after either burnout and idled the car off the track.
	Dave Bailey had a frustrating day as his Funny Bike cut out just off the start line in both qualifiers.		On a visit to Derek Flynn's pit first thing this morning we found the blown-alcohol rail minus its rear axle assembly which was being repaired after the diff seized.
	Fred Furlong found plenty of grip on his way to the eighth qualifying spot and then got through round one of eliminations with a 9.502 pass.		Gary Jones has held on to #1 spot in Comp Bike and reset his PB several times, a 7.52 his best so far.
	Gordon Appleton had a good first run, his 6.659 just missing the existing track record of 6.657.		Graham Dance got the monkey off his back with a pair of sevens in qualifying.
	Norwegian TV presenter Haral Rumaberg focuses deeply whilst car owner Rune Fjeld casts a watchful eye over proceedings.		Harrison Brown is once again competing in Sportsman ET, but this time the street car has been sidelined in favour of dad Ian's race car.
	Ian Berry had a big sideways moment in the fourth qualifying session of 9.50 bike.		Ian Hook proudly displays the impressive King of Europe trophy.

	Paul Day is fifty pounds better off after winning the Eurodragster.com / Speedflow Perfect Light Award.		Things started to come together for Paul King and his team as they got the Yamaha into the sevens with a 7.96
	Paul Spiers is flying the flag for Team Lawbreakers whilst Nick Curtis is getting the big Chevy repaired.		Sam Freeman ran his pretty Super Pro Altered in competition for the first time after shakedown and demo passes.
	Sid Slattery finally seems to have got to the bottom of the gremlins that have dogged him all year, this wheels-up launch suggesting all is well with the gorgeous little slingshot.		Not a bad day at the office for Steve Woollatt setting new PBs and taking the six-year-old track speed record with a 6.42/219 run.
	Thomas Nataas hooked up well on a fairly soft launch, but the tyres shook after about 150 feet and Thomas clicked it off.		Big grins all round at the Napier camp as Tig wheeled the big Dodge to a new PB of 10.08.
	Tony Legg has once again dominated Supertwin Modified and is looking to back up a new National Record of 9.316		After having the bike on static display at the Bulldog Bash Tyler Clutterbuck ran his new machine in competition this weekend.
