15:10

Apologies for the break in service this afternoon, which was caused by a problem at our ISP Selfnet.

You have not missed anything, since we've now been officially called off for the day; it started to rain again at about 1:00 and hasn't stopped since. Tune back in the morning and we will bring you all the overnight pitside developments.

14:45

I do hope this wasn't our fault, but shortly after we posted the 12:45 update it started to rain again, and it hasn't let up. Stay tuned and we'll let you know what's occurring.

12:45

We're getting close to starting here at Shakespeare County Raceway. As usual a large number of track crew, marshals and racers pitched in to squeegee the track, and right now Ronnie Picardo's jet truck is out on the track finishing it off.

We've had some great news courtesy of Alec Coe that Jenny Archer, fiancée of Wild Bunch Series Champion Tom Coe, has been allowed out of hospital for a few days. As regular Eurodragster readers will recall, Jenny has been very poorly recently but we are very pleased to hear that she is now on the road to recovery and has been sent home to get some peace from her fellow patients. We're sure that everyone will join us in wishing Jenny all the best for a continued recovery and we look forward to seeing her at the track very soon.

Stay tuned and keep an eye on the webcam and we will be right back as soon as qualifying starts. We have lost one cycle of qualifying to the rain but two cycles are still scheduled, and as soon as action commences you'll be the first to know.

10:00

Good morning and welcome from the Excitement Nationals at Shakespeare County Raceway. It's day one of qualifying and we're here to bring you all the news in association with American Car Imports.

The Webster Race Engineering/MPM Oil webcam is on-line and broadcasting a picture every two minutes. You can reach the webcam from the Event Index page.

Right now there is not a lot to broadcast as we have just had a heavy shower; just to make give us something to do one of our laptops has also failed - although don't worry, as we are able to run on one laptop.

Stay tuned and we will be back as soon as the track is dry and we're underway.
