  3. Tom Atkinson (8.82) 8.895/153.71
  4. Ron Bartlett (8.60) 8.995/153.71
  5. Joe Stevens (8.40) 10.661/161.95

Storming burnout for Tom Atkinson who is racing two vehicles in two classes this weekend. Dave Catton, crewman for Chris Parker told us earlier he has received his renewed MSA Competition Licence and plans to appear on track later in the year. Very twitchy run for David Russell in The Van With No Name, getting loose in the second half of the track. Good also to see Rick Cooke, a new member of the Forgotten Retirements Society (his car is for sale), but his car emitted a great deal of smoke in the shutdown area. Ian Brown had repaired transmission damage from the Festival of Power, and an excellent 8.22, well done Ian! Scott Hauser into first place on the last run of the session.

Good morning and welcome to our coverage of the APIRA Springspeed Nationals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing.

The Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam is on-line and broadcasting live video and commentary so long as the track is open. As we are broadcasting using a mobile data dongle to enable 720p definition, the broadcast may be switched off in the event of downtime and the status displayed in the race report. Thanks to Doyousee.me for the provision of streaming services.

There won't be pit notes this weekend as your pit reporter is acting as race reporter; Grace Roaf will be taking pictures of the on-track action, with News Editor Tog providing additional photography.

The weather here is dry with high cloud and qualifying is due to commence at 10am. There are three qualifying sessions planned today and the running order is here.
