Tune back in the morning and we'll bring you the news from eliminations. We're due to start at 10:00.

17:50

The Clerk of the Course has just announced that local authority has been in touch to ask us to stop for today so that's the end of qualifying. We start at 10:00 tomorrow and will be going straight into eliminations.

The webcam will be stopped shortly but we will be live again tomorrow.

We're now going to start work on today's pictures so tune back in a while for those.

17:05

After a fair bit of rain it's warm and sunny now, the strip itself is dry and the track crew are doing their stuff on the shutdown area. Race officials think that the shutdown area needs another half an hour and then the plan is to complete qualifying cycle 3.

Stay tuned and we will keep you up to date.

Good morning and welcome from Shakespeare County Raceway for our coverage of the Open Sport Nationals brought to you in association with Alamo Rent-A-Car.

The Webster Race Engineering/Nimbus Motorsport webcam is on-line and broadcasting live video as long as the track is open. No audio since we don't have the requisite kit but we figured you'd prefer silent live video to a sixty-second snapshot. Despite what less attentive and/or intelligent posters to Facebook recently opined, this is our first, and the first, live webcam broadcast from SCR and many thanks to Shakespeare County Raceway for providing us with the requisite access. We are stretching the kit here so if it turns out that the picture is too jerky or unreliable then we'll revert to the sixty-second stills but we'll see how it goes.

It's a nice morning here at SCR, sun and cloud but no rain. We started the day by treating the pits to a couple of Gilbert and Sullivan classics, from The Mikado to be precise, courtesy of track DJ Paul Wright and Shakey Sounds. Probably the last piece of culture today.

We are due to commence very shortly with the continuation of yesterday's first qualifying cycle. Stay tuned and when the wheels start to move we'll bring you the news.
