Good morning and welcome from Shakespeare County Raceway for our coverage of the Open Sport Nationals brought to you in association with Alamo Rent-A-Car.

The Webster Race Engineering/Nimbus Motorsport webcam is on-line and broadcasting live video as long as the track is open. Still no audio since we don't have the requisite kit but we figured you'd prefer silent live video to a sixty-second snapshot. The only audio option we have is the microphone on the camera itself, which is inside Race Control, which means that it would pick up private conversations of race officials and obviously we can't have that.

It's a pleasant morning here at Shakespeare County Raceway, high cloud and sun. Time to forget the last couple of days' rain and get racing. We are due to start at 10:00 and that will be preceded by a minute's silence for NSCC racer Kasey Dixon-Grainger who died in an accident at York Raceway yesterday.

The traditional Raceday Hello to our US Correspondents Ed O'Connell and Kathy Hileman who are tuned in from Rye, NH. Hope you are enjoying the coverage guys and is the surf up? Hope you've got those lists sorted Ed. Hello also to our Pit Reporter and Blog Editor Simon and family who are in New York, we were very relieved to hear that the storm was not quite as bad as advertised but look after yourselves guys and we'll see you soon.

Stay tuned and we'll bring you the results as soon as we start racing.
