Improvement for Steve but he stayed in place. In the other lane Jon Giles came into the top five at #5 only for Mark White to take fifth place back in the next pair.

After a titanic effort by the track crew to recover Adele's Beetle and to clear up the aftermath we're off again. On that subject Adele said that she had no warning at all, the car was going straight and then just turned left on her. The engine bay of the Beetle is quite badly damaged but the chassis is good.

Super Street Bike qualifying top five after session 4:

Steve up to third in the third pair of the session. Next pair and Garry improved but stayed in #5. Three pairs later and Dave Holland moved up to #2.

Almost ready to go. We will be finishing qualifying cycle 4 and then we will run the first rounds of eliminations of Pro ET, Super Street Bike and Junior Dragster.

Outlaw Flat Four qualifying after session 4:

We had a huge downpour after the first pair. Drama on the re-start as Adele Woodbridge's Beetle turned hard left and spun in front of Peter Shattock's car, hitting the guardrail rear end first. Peter was able to take avoiding action. The safety crews moved very quickly indeed and got to Adele before some of the bits landed, looked from here as if Peter ran to help too. Adele is A-OK as is Peter. Some recovery and stuff to clear up and then we'll be off again.

Good morning and welcome from Shakespeare County Raceway for our coverage of the Open Sport Nationals brought to you in association with American Car Imports.

The Webster Race Engineering/Nimbus Motorsport webcam is on-line and broadcasting a picture every sixty seconds. No live webcam this weekend as we are using mobile broadband via a 3G stick.

It's overcast here at SCR, with quite a stiff breeze, but it's dry.

We're due to start at 10:15 with the rest of qualifying cycle 3 and then qualifying cycles 4 and 5. Stay tuned and when the action starts we'll bring you the news.
