It's amazing how often this happens but the racing surface was dry and was in fact being sledded, and then it started to rain again. Right now it's raining quite heavily. Stay tuned and we'll let you know what happens next.

Good morning and welcome from Shakespeare County Raceway for our coverage of the Springspeed Festival brought to you in association with American Car Imports.

The Webster Race Engineering/MPM Oil webcam is on-line and broadcasting a picture every sixty seconds, and will stay on-line throughout the weekend until the track closes today. You can access the webcam via the Event Index page.

The traditional Raceday Hello to our US correspondents Ed O'Connell and Kathy Hileman who are tuned in from Rye, NH. Hello also to our good buddy Sharkman and also to Gittli Koller who is tuned in from Bavaria.

If you've checked out the webcam you will have seen that we have a wet track. The rain started late last night and the heavy drizzle persisted until about ten minutes ago. The track crew are already out working hard on the track. So stay tuned and as soon as there is a change in our status we'll be back with the news.
