Nostalgia Fuel Altered Association session 3 (left lane first): Tony Betts 6.473/215.70, Jim Usher 7.303/192.53, John Wright 6.743/218.31, Clayton Round 7.121/192.31, Joe Bond 8.068/153.08, Frank Bennett 7.403/189.08, Bob Glassup 8.123/149.38 bye, Neil Townson 9.848/82.03 bye, Pete Radcliffe broke (bye)

A great match-up between Tony and Jim, Tony's altered went straight as you like and looked good until there was a puff of smoke right on the finish line. Tony's set up for new NFAA ET and speed records, nice one Tony! A good straight run for Jim too, a puff of smoke from The Mob towards the finish. Both lanes were checked and all was OK. A tremendous pass for John, 1.032 to sixty feet, this run included a pedal for shake at about 100 feet and now John is on an NFAA speed record, well done guys! Chaos then disappeared into a big cloud of smoke in the shutdown area. No major clean-up on the track so hopefully all OK. In the other lane Clayton put in a storming 200-foot burnout and then a fine straight pass. Joe and Frank both drove through shake, Joe off the throttle in the second half of the track, Frank pedalled once and then drove through. Bob's altered hesitated off the line, sounded from here as if Bob was feathering the throttle a little in the middle third. Neil had a couple of attempts to start, a quick check for fluid before staging and all OK, the car pulled to the right some under power and Neil was off the throttle before half track. Pete pulled a nice burnout but at the hit the revs shot up and the car hardly moved. Pete pulled over to the side of the track and shut off.
