Pete Walters broke out by less than Joe Kellett. AC Bell broke out by less than Bob Doyle. Then a nitrous convert 7.60HU matchup, Ron Bartlett red lit but improved his PB to 7.8923/171.70, well done on that Ron! Winner Billy Gane slowed and came to a halt about 150ft out and was pushed back, small cleanup required.
Paul Stephen red lit and then smoked the tyres, coming close to the centre line, against winner Stuart Morrice. Scott Hauser broke out against Tom Atkinson. Lee Huxley broke out against Ashley Bell. Barry Giles a no-show and thanks to Daniel Giles for telling us that there was an issue with oil getting into the cylinders, Dave Russell the recipient of the bye run.
#1 qualifier bye for Nick Good who ran 6.846/190.43 on 6.81. 0.0062 or 16 inches margin of victory Alan Didwell who holeshot Mark Coulsell, Mark running on his dial. Andy Thetford rolled through stage against Matt Peters.

Darren Law red lit against Mason Griffiths, Simon Innes broke out against Harley-Jay Darby. Bill Wilson red lit against Tom Watkins who came down hard after a massive wheelie, Tom feathering the throttle but the car wanting to stay high in the air with the wind seemingly under it. Pause for clean-up.
On the restart Ryan Garrett red lit against Ronnie Mercer, Nick Mugridge broke out against Stevie Gates. Daniel Fulton red lit against Warren Watts, Roy Walker broke out against Brett Featherstone, Laura Baynton red lit against Simon Fulton, Dave Fulton closer to dial than Amy Watkins. Good morning and welcome to day 2 of our STP Summer Nationals coverage from Santa Pod Raceway. The weather is sunny with a few high clouds, temperature of 15C rising to 18C and wind of 18mph from the west (crosswind/headwind). Atmospheric conditions are density altitude of 700-1300 by 15:00 and 45 grains of water, an improvement in air quality.
Yesterday we achieved three qualifying sessions the results of which you can see in our race report via the Event Index. Thanks to Julian and Diana for their galleries which you can see via the same link. Eliminations start at 09:30 and you can see the ladders on Santa Pod's official race results site by clicking here.
Hi to all our followers, we had messages from Bob Roberts at another racing event, and also Chris Hannam who was in touch yesterday. Hi also to our colleague Kieran who will be tuned in from home, and Markus Münch who has a busy Summer of reporting race meetings.
