Simon Innes broke out giving Marie Mills her first round win, Darren Huxley ran bang on his dial in to defeat Laura Baynton, Brett Featherstone red lit against Simon Fulton, Marc Huxley broke out against Will Clark.
#1 qualifier Dave Fulton against #1 in the points Leigh Morris, Leigh the winner in a double breakout and gets a bye in round 2. John Dalrymple broke out against Mason Griffiths, Ronnie Mercer with nitrous for the first time this event, Dave Rudd closer to dial than Ronnie.
On hold for more rain.
On the restart Dave Crowhurst redlit against Warren Watts, Jess Bishop over Harley-Jay Darby, Daniel Fulton broke out against Pete Dodd who had a 0.02 package. Neill Watkins broke out against Stevie Gates. Tom Watkins and John Bean shut off on the line, four more pairs to complete the class today.
Simon Rickwood staged when Baylee Ashdown was unable to make the call in her dragster.

Good morning and welcome to day 2 of our coverage of the Festival of Power from Santa Pod Raceway. The weather is again good, sunny with a few high clouds and 10C with wind from the south at 11mph. Forecast temperatures are 16C. The density altitude supplied by airdensityonline.com is currently 264ft below sea level, and forecast to rise to around 600ft which is good, also grains of water are averaging 50-58 which is also excellent.
Yesterday we had three qualifying sessions for sportsman classes, all completed by the 20:00 finish time, well done to the marshals and track crew for getting everyone down the track so efficiently and to racers for avoiding the problems that racing conditions can throw at them. We had some personal bests, but run of the day for many was by Wayne Nicholson in his Pro Mod Corvette which went down in 5.88s at 243mph showing his setup is one that can run with the best. We had a great display by the exhibition vehicles too, with Top Fuel, Fuel Funny Car and Nostalgia Funny Cars all flexing their muscles in their first runs of the year.
Today we have two qualifying sessions and more exhibitions planned with eliminations from 18:00, so all have a great and safe day. Greetings to Eurodragsterholics, our buddy Remco Scheelings has informed us of more Top Fuel entrants for the Main Event which we will report in our news update on Tuesday. Also we wish Wild Bunch racer Bob Hawkins a very Happy Birthday, we will be seeing Bob in action in his nitro slingshot next weekend at the Nostalgia Nationals. Happy Birthday to Perfect ET Award sponsor Andy Hadfield who will be here next weekend in Twister with the Supercharged Outlaws.
