Nick last to stage, and off the line first 0.1006 to 0.1511 and Tim 1.0203 to 60ft to Nick's 1.0361 then Nick started drifting right, he tried to wrestle it back but the momentum carried him over the centre line and the 330ft block went, Tim 3.9767/187.05 to half track and Nick shut off in Tim's lane. An exciting end to a great Cannonball.

John Hale shut off v Steve Johnson 7.7222/131.05 A lot of nitro out of the pipes for John, Rob Elsom fixing the idle as John waited, then, unable to engage forward gear John clicked the engine. Steve with a 1.0596 60ft and 4.6017/135.72, the Motor Mouse slingshot getting close to the right wall and heading that way before Steve lifted at around 1000ft.
Wayne Allman 7.1497/198.89, quickest of the weekend for Wayne, 1.2012 to 60ft and 4.6772/158.99 to half track, just short of Wayne's 200mph target.
Paul Harris #4 in the order 6.3368/208.17 v Tony Betts #3 5.9645/237.46. First 5 for Tony, superb run, 1.0263 to 60ft and 3.9410/194.18 to half track, smoke in the shut down area. Great run for Paul too, 1.0331 to 60ft and 4.0924/180.52 to half track. Quite the mosh pit on the start line for Tony's team and a huge ovation from the grandstand for them and Tony for a new Nostalgia Funny Car ET track record and quickest in Europe (thanks to Andy Willsheer for the info).

Good morning and welcome to day 3 of Dragstalgia from Santa Pod Raceway. The skies are cloudy but dry and quite warm at 15C forecast to rise to 21C with wind 13mph from the sourthwest. Density altitude is forecast to be 1000ft to 1600ft with water grains much lower than yesterday at 70 falling to the mid to low 60s.
Yesterday was a trying day with rain starting after the first few pairs of Custom Car Invitational had gonear down the track, but everyone was patient and made the best of it. There was a great reunion vibe in the historic marquee, and when the track was finally dry thanks to the efforts of the track crew, all classes were able to run another qualifying session. Cudos to Santa Pod Raceway too for arranging to run late.
Hi to all those tuned in for the coverage. Congratulations to Kieran and wife Ellie on the birth of their daughter Bonnie Mae. A big Happy Birthday to Santa Pod Social Media guru Callum Pudge who tirelessly supplies news snippets and event updates for Santa Pod via Facebook and other platforms, also to Gasser Circus racer Steve Matthews.
