Adrian Portelli into #1 at the start of the session, Alan Huckle in the Layram/Pearson Racing Falcon, great to see John Davison who worked at the track in the 1960s and now drives the Soper & Heck car. Stewart Arthur took over the #1 spot with +0.0270 on dial. Don Scott pushed back for a leak.

Stuart Thompson into #1 with 0.0119. Matthew Dowdy pushed back, suspect it's transmission problems. Mick Sharpe took over #1.

No time for Barnaby Levy but new PB for Ben Rushforth 8.387 into #2, well done Ben! Mick Taylor into #2 with 8.0298. Wayward run for Gary Bird alongside Aaron Bird. Colin Millar alongside John Willard who had a lot of smoke at the finish line, 1.0702 to 60ft and 4.3241/168.24 and a new OA record ET 6.7132/197.18, good pass for Colin 1.2027 to 60ft and 4.6868/158.39 to half track, into #1 and #2 respectively.

Andy Raw (Nitro Bug Beetle FC) fired up, however the chute deployed almost immediately. Ricky Gowen fired up on methanol and after the burnout the engine cut out at 250ft. Pushed back by the team and marshals in the searing heat. Both cars pushed back to the garage for refiring later. Meanwhile pause for cleanup.

Andy Raw refired, burned out, revs too high after the burnout, adjusted, reversed, 7.3095/157.93 (1.0666), revs fell at around 330ft, then rose, then fell at the end with a possible throttle issue, solid launch. Ricky Gowen's engine failed to refire.

Paul Harris (Monza FC) burned out, reverse would not engage and drove down the track. Followed by Robin Read (Daimler 'Little Car' dragster). Sounded as if high gear launch as revs fell, then a pop after they rose again, 15s pass and we hope there is no damage.
