Kevin said "After the burnout the gearbox went to neutral and couldn't engage reverse, nor could the car move as it was between gears. It's the first time we had this issue, well done to Jason, it was a good run."

On the restart Collin Morrice had a holeshot win over Christophe Burfeindt. Solo for Phil Toppin when Lee Darby was a no-show. Thomas Haas broke out with his first seven at the event against Mark Bailey. Big wiggle at 330ft for Rob Brown who then took the win when Scott Hauser broke out by more. No Mark Todd (a misfire problem) against birthday boy Kieran Astley. Next the Bounty Hunter race with Springspeed victor Billy Gane against Mark Turner , Mark breaking out and Billy getting /irst across the finish line into the bargain. Good morning and welcome to the fourth and final day of our coverage of the FIA/FIM-E Main Event from Santa Pod Raceway. The weather this morning is again clear with just a few clouds and temperature of 9C forecast to rise to just 13C. Wind is 10mph coming from the north, i.e. tailwind and density altitude supplied by airdensityonline.com is between sea level and 300ft, excellent conditions.
The conditions yesterday were similar and we saw several records, FIA and track record in Pro Modfied ET of 5.7245 by Jan Ericsson, FIM-E and track record in Super Street Bike of 6.7656 and 225.76 by Daniel Lencses, and Electric Vehicle records of 6.6197 and 206.24 by Hans-Henrik Thomsen. We also saw tight fields in qualifying and many new personal bests.
On the downside we send commiserations and best wishes to Kevin Chapman after a nasty Nitro Funny Car accident, the important thing is Kev is fine and we hope the car damage can be repaired.
