Al McSweeney broke traction at 60ft to 9.0561/115.95. Mo Shoaib Younis in his GTR ran 8.6513/159.61, great run, new PB we think, well done Mo! Later there was a grudge match between Santa Pod CEO Keith Bartlett, Keith supported by Dan Williams and Spencer Tramm and Tom Atkinson by Kirstoe and Andy Dibley, Tom winning 10.639/127.33 to KB's 10.852/127. Lee Chiles 0.025 package to defeat Pete Lane, Nic Williams red against Jordan Payne. Adam Nowak broke out against Billy Gane.

6 Cylinder eliminations round 3 Joe Bristow away first and crosses the finish line ahead of Mo Shoaib Younis, winning on a holeshot, new PB, well done Joe! Dave Henderson through despite a valiant effort by Mike Whittaker. Set up for a great final. £750 to the losers.
14:45 European FWD Front Wheel Drive eliminations round 3 £250 to losers Carl Goldsmith red against Dean Hyndman. Problems for Calvin Skerritt allowing Ahmed Jamshaid to go through for a new PB, well done Ahmed! Stephen Ray red and Matt Davison lifted to save it for the next round. Ryan Omani with another good reaction (all three rounds so far 0.10 RT) but Ryan Scott pulls his first nine second run out of the bag, well done Ryan Scott!
14:40 4 Cylinder eliminations round 2 Tom Semper out in front but overtaken by Adam Skinner in the back half of the track. Then friends Richie Webb and Alex Leiserach, Richie's chute out at 60ft and Alex got in front and stayed there despite Richie doing his best. Paul Bate stumbled and idled down the track against Chris Waterhouse. Lee Connors straight into stage, and out in front who caught Lee just in the lights, MOV 0.0124.

£500 to the second round losers. Andres Arnover ahead of Dave Swift, smoke out of both in the shut down area. Andres deepstaged and then went +0.0041 on RT against Dave's +0.3580. Andres with 1.0614 to 60ft and then he corrected before half track 4.1677/192.05 not as quick as his qualifier, Dave made one of his best runs but couldn't keep pace with Andres, 1.1067 to 60ft and 4.9448/139.94 to half track. Pause for track inspection. Jan Ericsson came round and burned out with Chris Orthodoxou having disappeared from view. Jan ran his bye to 5.879/241.23, great run with minimal tyre shake, .9685 to 60ft and 3.8588/194.21 to half track. We'll try to find what the problem was with Chris's car. Kev Slyfield away first against Pel Norman, 0.0278 then drove away and Pel lifted. New speed PB, first over 240 for Kev, well done Kev! 1.0425 to 60ft and 3.9334/191.97 to half track. Bruno Bader Wayne Nicholson. 12:55 6 Cylinder eliminations round 2 James Willday with no burnout, staged along Dave Henderson but idled down the track against Dave Henderson's 9.090/158. Next an all GTR matchup with Simon Durrans rolling out of stage giving the win to Mo Shoaib Younis. Hubert Strengberger, running with a stock crank, elected to withdraw at this stage and come back at VW Action with a billet crank giving Joe Bristow an easy go. Then Mike Whittaker on a competition bye.

12:35 Pro Street eliminations round 1 Thorsten Appel kept ahead of Adam Williamson, Gary Semper had a stage foul against Ash Cooper, Al McSweeney pedalled after tyre shake at 100ft and drove away from Simon Paul's Nissan GTR. In the final race of the round, Andy Bond was ahead of Brian Pateman who made his best run of the weekend.
12:30 European FWD Front Wheel Drive eliminations round 2 Ryan Omani holeshot win over Grant Moore, Dean Hyndman drove round Charlie Roberts who ran another PB, well done Charlie, bye for Carl Goldsmith when Darren Dewhurst was a no-show. Red for Marc Taylor against Ahmed Jamshaid who ran a new PB of 9.168/167.29, well done Ahmed! Ryan Scott ran a new PB for speed to overtake Ricardo Leite, well done Ryan! Matt Davison kept ahead of Craig Evans in a double 9s race. Stephen Ray outran Nick Shotton. Then Haider Jalal in full stage against Calvin Skerritt and left first by 1.2s, but Calvin caught and passed him running a new PB of 8.681/174.4 PB, well done Calvin!

12:05 4 Cylinder eliminations round 1 First pair the #1 and #2 qualifiers Richie Webb and Kev Jenkins, Richie off the line much quicker, Kev Jenkins suffered lack of boost on the line and then a huge cloud of smoke as he got close to the right wall after some fluid came out of the Fraudsters Escort, Kev coming to a halt just before half track. Meanwhile Richie who had gone ahead substantially 1.4700 to 60ft and 5.5414/135.27 to half track had part of his convertible top exit at the top end just before he passed the finish line 8.5201/154.68. On hold for Kev being towed downtrack and minimal clean up in Kev's lane. On the restart Alex Leiserach outran Robert Colquhoun, Chris Todd ran a great 8.887/162 near-PB against Darren Scannell, then Lee Connor outran Jonny Marriage after both had problems leaving the startline, Chris Waterhouse on a bye after Olly Whitehouse pushed back, 10.3494/124.12 for Chris who had run his first nine yesterday. Paul Bate stayed ahead of Wayne Waterhouse, then Adam Skinner outran James Wotton who slowed from his previous 9.75 form. Tom Semper off the line first and stayed ahead for a big PB against Lucas Daglish, well done Tom!

Jon Webster has withdrawn against Kev Slyfield; Jon said "There was some slippage in high gear then problems in staging in the final run, we were here to test for next weekend and hope to fix it by then. We have the Ford Pop, but didn't want to break both cars!" Dave Swift on a bye, problems before the burnout when the engine died. The team had another look to see what was wrong. Great race between John Tebenham and Jan Ericsson, JT off the line quicker 0.0361 to 0.1225, then Jan quicker .9620 to 60ft and 3.8428/195.89 to half track to JT's 1.0341 and 4.0755/184.21, MOV 0.2537, little shake. David Vegter red against Chris Orthodoxou, incrementals 1.0277 and 3.9535 179.20 for David lifting by half track, 1.1408 and 4.3584/176.95 for Chris. Dave Swift went to the left and he corrected, 1.1523 to 60ft, nitrous now used on each run. Dave Smith red against Pel Norman, a 7.81 for Dave following a 1.1604 60ft. Andres Arnover running a Proline Hemi in his twin turbo, on a bye. 1.0056 to 60ft then went to the left and he was off the throttle. Kev Slyfield on a bye, 1.0583 to 60ft and 3.9468/192.25 to the eigth then off the throttle, Kev and team having changed the rear axle over Saturday night according to Tony Underhill who is providing colour commentary after yesterday's incident. PB for Shaun Duthie but couldn't catch Matt Davison. Darren Dewhurst drove around Dominic Calliste, Grant Moore out ahead of Karl Monks, Stephen Ray on a bye as Ashley Allen arrive too late, Terry Newton in his backup Focus, Ahmed Jamshaid drove around him. It's a lovely morning with just a few wispy clouds and temperatures of 11C forecast to rise to 20C and wind of around 11mph. Density altitude provided by airdensityonline.com is forecast to be in the range 1000-1500ft, more than yesterday but not bad. Yesterday was a mixture of quick runs, tight qualifying, and a few mechanical disappointments. We also had a fantastic Big Bracket race which showed the consumate sportsmanship we have in British drag racing. Have a look at yesterday's reports for the detail, there were more than a few personal bests, but some broke and didn't figure in the final qualifying lists. We send best wishes to Tony Underhill, he and his team put in a huge effort to make his 99 Problems Willys Sedan one of the best appearing cars here, however on a run where he looked to be heading for his first six from the early incrementals, the car bit back in the second half. Tony was able to walk away and we hope a rebuild and return can happen in due course. We also send wishes for a speedy recovery to Luis Silva, who drove Helder Pereira's Batmobile Seat Ibiza TDI on Friday but suffered a loss of control in the shutdown area, the car making contact with the right wall. The team have now posted to say Luis sufferered a fractured shoulder blade and bruising and hope he will be back at the track soon.
