Track drying is well underway and it is likely that racing will commence later in the afternoon. We will let you know when racers are called to the lanes, likely to be around 14:30.

12:30

There is still continual drizzle, when this stops the track crew will be able to start to dry the surface, until then we will be on hold.

10:30

Good morning and welcome to our coverage of day 1 of Doorslammers. We're at Santa Pod Raceway however there is currently precipitation and so there will be a delay in starting. The radar shows rain continuing until 3pm, so we hope that running can commence before the end of the day. Once the light rain stops, track drying will commence.

Greetings to all who follow our coverage, we will keep up with the times in RWYB and qualifying. There will be a drivers' meeting at the end of the day timetabled for 18:00 and will report plans for the remainder of the weekend.

If you're thinking of attending there are the additional attractions of VW Breakout show and Transitmania. In the evening there will be bands on the Live Stage on the bank side and also acts in the Fuelers Bar. So there is a lot of activity, we'll keep you up to date with the racing side of things when it starts.
