Gasser Circus eliminations round 3 Katie Booth left on Ray Irish but broke out by 1/100s giving Ray the win. Martyn Hallam, also with a better RT, broke out giving Graham Barton the win

Jedd Guy, also on a competition bye, broke the beams. Jon Webster vs Ronnie Mercer, Jon Webster lost drive on the launch and came to a halt by the tree as Ronnie Mercer went through 8.681/151.16, best of the weekend and now 8 rounds undefeated.
15:45 Gasser Circus eliminations round 2 Jason Hollamby broke out giving the win to Katie Booth and a blow to his championship. 0.0056 or 12 inches between Graham Barton winning over Tom Margesson. Breakout for Nick Barnett giving the win to Martyn Hallam. Ray Irish had a great light to defeat Paul Dominey.

Amazing run for Jedd Guy 6.886/193.88, setting his record speed, 1.0432 to 60ft 4.3907/160.03, well done Jedd and team! Launch for Ginner when Gary Bird unable to make the call. Rob Stone's drive shaft broke and departed from under the car leaving Ronnie Mercer to go through for the win. On the restart Colin Millar lifted as the car headed towards the wall, 7.584/185 to defeat Ben Kennedy and Martyn Payne upset Mick Taylor. Followed by time trial for Rob Nixon 9.974/131 and Spencer Tidswell 9.849/134, nice side-by-side run.

Followed by Tim Roy and Wayne Colliver, Tim on the back of a 9.12 PB set yesterday, 9.319 to back it up as Wayne went 9.317/141 for a new PB, well done Wayne! Steve Garlant vs James Auld followed, then Chris Hartnell vs Mark Coulsell, quickest run for Chris this event, 8.862/149. Then Dan/Elliot Jones in Ragin Cajun vs Warren Rowlands in Destinys Angel, 9.069/145 for Warren and some smoke in the shut down area but was fine when driving through the far exit. Brief clean up in the Autoglym (right) lane. Next Phil James vs Matthew Hollins, new owner of Chris Manning's Villain slingshot. 13:40 About 30 minutes until start, we'll have Wild Bunch and Supercharged Outlaws, following which there will be a run what ya brung session. 11:40 We've had a brief rain shower but that has now stopped and track drying work has commenced. We'll let you know as soon as racing is due to recommence. 10:35 Gasser Circus eliminations round 1 Red light for Tony Pearson against points leader Nick Barnett. After a pause for spots of rain, Mick Allen against #1 qualifier Tom Margesson who pulled a great 0.051 light to defeat Mick Allen on a holeshot. Ray Irish with a better reaction and holeshot against Jason Pickett. Steve Matthews 0.0042 win margin or nine inches for Graham Barton. Jason Hollamby defeated Nick Brooke Langham. Billy Jones took Martyn Hallam to keep his championship hopes alive. Sean Milsom with a 0.004 red light against Paul Dominey, Lee Pike with a better reaction time but broke out against Katie Booth. Time trial for the alternates with Brian Gibson with a huge wheelstand 11.235/116.99 (11.50) vs Simon Glenn 11.796/115.33 (11.50)
10:10 Renegade Outlaw Anglia Eliminations round 1 PB for Barry Woodford 10.238 in losing racing to nitrous-assisted Ted Booth, Ginner improves on his qualifying time with 8.43 to defeat Pete Butler. Rob Stone improved to 8.380/156 to defeat Rob Turrington, also quicker than his qualifier. Rob Brindle went red as he tried to leave on Martyn Payne, Martyn also improving on his qualifier, the air must be great this morning. Close match between #14 and #15 Garry Hill and Rob Nixon, Garry coming out on top. Phil Drewitt vs Mark Bracking, Phil first to stage and wheels up to a quicker time. Ben Kennedy vs Spencer Tidswell, Spencer the higher qualified and tree'd by Ben in Relentless for the upset win. Mick Taylor off first against Andy Cunningham but Banshee emitted smoke on his way to a 9.54 win. Kim Harrison a no-show against Ronnie Mercer who had an easy pass. Doug McClure a no-show against Colin Millar, Colin went to a 7.043/192.22, 1.083 to 60ft and 4.508/157 to half track, the speed record up for grabs as Jedd still needs to back up his 193.76 to make it official. Gary Bird vs Pete Jones, Gary got into a serious left and right move at 1000ft but kept hold of it for the 9.35/112 win. Wayne Power a no-show against Jon Webster. After a pause for track prep and spots of rain, Jon Webster got out of the groove before half track after a 1.0365 60ft. Jedd Guy. the first in the sixes in Outlaw Anglia UK, against Shane Bird, looking to back up his 192mph speed, went down to win, but engine not sounding entirely healthy.
08:35 Good morning and welcome to day three of our coverage of the 33rd NSRA Hot Rod Drags from Santa Pod Raceway. It's another lovely morning with high cloud and temperatures of 15C forecast to rise to 18C with a wind of 11mph. Yesterday was a full day of great runs, some minor incidents and a great deal of emotion. Well done to all racers for making it happen. We salute sponsor Jedd Guy for being the first in Outlaw Anglia to run a six, these landmark runs don't get forgotten easily. There were also some tributes to those we have lost and we will not forget them either. Today we are scheduled for more run what ya brung, and eliminations in Outlaw Anglia, Gasser Circus, with average-closest-to-index runs for Supercharged Outlaws and Wild Bunch. Hi to all Eurodragsterholics, our former editor Tog who is reporting from Melbourne Raceway and whose photos you can see from Event Coverage in the menu.
