VW Pro eliminations round 2 Breakout for Graham Fairhead giving Tom Herbert the win. Luke Stevenson into the semis and a bye into the final to boot.

Topspeed Automotive Street Elimnator eliminations round 2 Well done to Al Mc for his first seven after Tony Higgs got loose off the line and played catch-up. Wheelspin for Andy Bond, Joe Stevens pulled away and Andy nipped him at the finish, great race with two changes of lead!
Peter Nee Super Pro ET eliminations round 3 Perfect light for Ron Bartlett on his bye run, well done Ron but the money went earlier. Next Billy Gane with a win margin of 0.0003 or 0.9 inches over Peter Walters, closest yet to Bob's Photo Finish Award. Barry Giles with a great RT over Callum Swinchatt.
Track Worx Comp Eliminator eliminations round 1 Red for Nic Williams with the win going to Jordan Payne who lifted. The Spencer Tramm on a solo run with Kev Jenkins a no show and made a full pass. Elaine Hancock a no-show against Steve Lloyd in the Impala. Lloyd Perkins had a red light before Robin Orthodoxou who took the win.

Lucas Oil Junior Dragster eliminations round 3 Freddie Taylor wins after Daniel Todd red lit by 0.001. Katie Ellis on a bye then Thomas Cook Abbott beat Caitlin Wilson who had a 0.005 RT. Final pair Harry Redshaw the winner with a MOV of 0.0089 or 12 inches against Harley Coulsell.

Dave Grady Super Gas eliminations round 1 Bye for Andy Harrison, Andy Dibley won on a holeshot against Bob Molden, Tim Adam rolled through stage giving Jon Turner the win, Mark White got to the line before Tim Moore who nevertheless improved to a 10.59.

Then Jedd Guy feathered the throttle at 200ft as the car drifted towards the centre line but still well ahead of Ben Kennedy. Next Colin Millar with the customary three way nitrous purge against Rob Stone, Rob going read as Colin went 1.08 to 60ft driving though shake and close to the wall.
14:20 B Fast R Super Comp eliminations round 1 Jon Giles win by 0.0088 or 25 inches against Steve Field, Paul Hudson with a deep stage foul against Darryl Howells, Steve Hudson on a #1 qualifier bye, bang on the index and finally Allan Schofield broke out against Leah Kellett
14:20 Taylors Trophy Super Street Bike eliminations round 1 Nice run for Steve Venables, Alan Morrison got close to the centre line but kept ahead of Dave Smith, Steve Mead in a close 0.0776 MOV race with 1.20 60ft over a mid track wheelying Jake Mechaell, Mark Hope shut off against Mark Dainty who lifted.
Leeks Landscapes Funny Bike eliminations round 1 Jiri Lukes' bike stumbled but then Dave Peters bike lost fire after the launch, allowing Jiri to recover and pass him for the win. In the second pair Kev Osman was a no show giving Tony Clark the win, Tony doing a full run.
14:05 Peter Nee Super Pro ET eliminations round 2 Red light for Tom Atkinson lets Billy Gane through, then three time champion Scott Hauser broke out by 0.006 against Ron Bartlett who gets a bye into the semi finals with a 0.074 package. Red light for Alan Didwell as Pete Walters lifted off when he saw the win light. Callum Swinchatt on a bye, and Barry Giles went through as Ash Bell pulled a red.
13:55 Modurstang Pro ET eliminations round 1 Lee Huxley with a great RT against Geoff Cowley, Pete Dodd red against Tom Watkins, as was John Bean against Andrew Garnett, double breakout between Simon Gough and Simon Innes, Simon G broke out by the least, Amy Watkins defeated a breaking out Jon Turner. Marc Huxley red against Tom Kaye by 0.01, Marc getting close to the nines, red for Vic Parsons letting Ronnie Mercer through to a bye in round three.

Michael Gooding red lit by 0.01 against Phil Pratt, Dave Grundy went red against Justin Malton, Gary Hester defeated Matt Jones whose bike went sideways with wheelspin off the startline. Jayne Kay a no-show against Bill Marsh, Blade King with a better light than Robbie Dobbie who hit his ET bang on.
13:30 Exhibition session First up Mona from Sweden in a licensing pass for Top Fuel, short burnout, reversed by Ruaridh Hart, Rune keeping a watch over the engine idle. The car went up on its rear tyres with 0.9015 60ft, the engine zinged and blew in a ball of flame and big explosion at around 200ft. Pause for sledding and track inspection. Robin Read 6.9018/196.40 def. Tony Betts 9.2582/87.87. Burnout and reverse for both, Robin's fuel fitting on his Daimler engine re-fitted, Herb Andrews on the team this weekend. 1.0677 to 60ft and 4.4213/161.18 to half track for Robin and 4.7582/117.45 for Tony who was off the throttle before then. 13:20 VW Pro eliminations round 1 Graham Fairhead through as James Gould broke out, then James Hodson closer to his dial in than John Brewster, Rob Carter broke on the line against Paul Jackson, Adrian Solly won with a 0.035RT against Dave Crowhurst with a 0.09 win margin, Tom Herbert through against a red lighting Carl Goldsmith, finally Luke Stevenson's dragster through against a red-lighting James Rhodes.

Chris Goodale broke out against James Oliver, Dave Billadeau through to a bye run in round two, Don Scott with 0.092 light beat Jim Chandler, Stuart Thompson with a better RT against Simon Rickwood, Adrian Portelli with a red lets Chris Layram through, Pete Dodd the winner in his first competitive round.
13:05 VW Sportsman eliminations round 1 Breakout for Emma Sadler giving Simon Clate the win, Laurence Clark the quicker RT and Justin Folley broke out, Morgan Wilson through as Paul Day broke out. Jack Gooding through with 0.04 win margin and closer to dial over Steve Metcalf, Rob Creswell had a better RT against Phil Jones, Ethan Lisle red lit against Jon Crawford who has Jim Broome as crew this weekend. Short pause for track check and precipitation. Dan Boucher won against a breaking-out Connor Jones, Lowri Anslow won against a breaking out Bruce Harvey and Polly Judge had a single and broke out by 1/100th.

Gary Lake closer to dial than Debbie Taylor as was Holley Walters against Chris Winn, Georgina Smith quicker off the lights against Stef Pateman, Kirstie the winner against Ashleigh Clark who broke out, similar for Dan Holloway against Don Yardley, Gill Medley chased down AC Bell who broke out.
12:15 Topspeed Automotive Street Eliminator eliminations round 1 Mark Sheridan still in test mode and the beneficiary of no cruise yesterday, ran a gentle pass alongside Tony Higgs, Al McSweeney getting close to a seven alongside Ashley Cooper, Joe Stevens off into the distance against Damian Halliwell, and finally Nick Hale and Andy Bond with a staging duel, Nick winning the Perfect Light Award with a great 0.0003 but outrun by the Ugly Sister.

David Russell with a 0.0013 RT but broke out against sponsor Peter Walters. Jack Brewster went 1.09 60ft then drifted left and lifted against Alan Didwell. 11:55 Modurstang Pro ET eliminations round 1 John Tebenham went sideways to an angle of 90 degrees across the startline on his burnout, no impact but a scare for his crew no doubt! Ronnie Mercer backed up whilst John had a conversation with starter Dave Warren, exiting the Pop which was then pushed back. Ronnie waited patiently and then ran his solo. Good light for Andrew Garnett in his first competitive race, in his roadgoing Tesla. Breakout for James Forster against Simon Gough, 0.0495 margin. Lee Huxley the beneficiary of a Brett Featherstone red light, Simon Innes similarly the winner against Marie Mills who had a good run anyway. Pete Dodd winning against Bob Molden with a 0.0265 RT and Bob breaking out. Jon Turner through against Dave Cherrett, as was Geoff Cowley against Allan Schofield in a double breakout, 0.0031 or 8 inches in it, a contender for Bob's Photo Finish Award. Tom Kaye won against Ian Brown who red lit. Marc Huxley won with a quicker RT against dad Brian who broke out. Amy Watkins on a #1 qualifier single. Mason Griffiths a no-show against Vic Parsons who spun the wheels at the start. Small engine fire on starting for John Bean extinguished and he then ran a single when Baylee Ashdown couldn't make the call after suffering a stomach bug overnight. 11:25 Hutchinson & Dibley Sportsman ET qualifying session 1 Carl Magedera and Steve Mellors, followed by newcomer Don Yardley in his Mk1 Cortina and Rob Creswell who went into #1. Chris Winn alongside Georgina Smith with Birthday Boy Pike Murray in support to get her into #1 spot. Stef Pateman into #3 and Debbie Taylor next, then Kirstie Tramm and Connor Holt who went into #1 with a .0267 package, well done Connor! Then Dan Holloway and Gary Lake who went into #3. Gill Medley and Ashleigh Clark followed. Points leader Felicity Gibbs and Holley Walters next, -0.0024 red for Holley, Felicity into #3 in qualifying. AC Bell with a superb Chevy C10 pickup on a single, his first competitive run placing him 16th.

Louis Davis and Jordan Kenway out for a second attempt with their rain interrupted session times from yesterday being annulled, Louis slowed from yesterday's 7.15.
10:45 Comp Bike have been called into the pairing lanes so the start of racing is rapidly approaching. 09:45 Track drying work continues, there is no precipitation but with the amount of rain overnight we expect the water table has risen and the shut down area is consequently getting more attention. 08:45 Good morning and welcome to day two of our report at the STP Greenlight Nationals at Santa Pod Raceway. It's currently dry, cloudy and the track crew are diligently drying the track which got another soaking with a thunderstorm in the early morning hours. Drying is progressing well and only the shut down area is now receiving attention. Temperatures are 17C due to rise to 20C and the wind 13mph. The plan for today is to complete the single session of qualifying that started yesterday and got interrupted by rain, with the four remaining classes (Comp Bike, re-running the first pair, ET Bike, Super Gas and Sportsman ET) and then into eliminations. Classes that have completed qualifying can see their ladders via this link. Best wishes to Super Twin racer Roman Sixta who suffered a high speed accident at Motopark, Finland yesterday; Roman went to hospital to be checked overnight and the good news this morning is that he is uninjured and going to be released from hospital today; sadly his bike is heavily damaged.
