Sponsor Jedd Guy close to the centre line, tyre shake 7.1583/189.68 with 1.099 and 4.595/154 incrementals, outstanding pass! Rob Nixon with a bad wobble but held onto it as Ben Kennedy once again made smoke in the shut down area. Shane Bird stopped on track as Ben Rushworth burned out and waited for Shane to be pushed back, running a consistent 8.772/157.

Rob Brindle on a licensing pass to 10.072/133. Ginner reversing at a speed that Fast Freddie would be impressed with alongside Jedd Guy, superb launch for Jedd 1.116 but went to the centre line and lifted to 8.133/161.
Then Al O'Connor in the iconic Al's Gasser with a 0.03 RT but the car dinked the half track block so his 11.264/81 won't be allowed. Mick Taylor 1.17 to 60ft, 8.110/171. British Drag Racing Hall of Fame inductee John Price has joined Colin Theobald in the tower to talk about the rivalry between Dennis Priddle and Clive Skilton, and the first Cannonball in 1981. Santa Pod CEO Keith Bartlett and photojournalist and Dennis's biographer Keith Lee paid tribute to Dennis before a minute's silence for him. A great man, much missed. Fittingly Paul Harris in the Monza bodied Dennis tribute car fired up at the end of the minute's silence.
Paul Harris with a 330ft burnout with 'Priddle Harris Racing' on the back of the car, loaded for bear but shut off on the line for a fluid leak.
Tim Garlick 6.294/230.36 vs Steve Johnson 9.633/85.38. Tim straight down his lane, 1.0843 to 60ft, 4.1486/182.66 to half track, Steve with tyre shake going to the right of his lane, 1.270 to 60ft.
Robin Read 13.9315/51.09 vs Doug Bond 9.8975/114.20, both cars off the pace, Robin having repaired his valve train overnight and Doug substituting for son Joe who had a last minute problem preventing him from attending.
Chris Manning 7.2675/160.73 vs Dave Grabham 7.2473/175.73. Best wishes to Steve Dowler from Chris's crew who is poorly and tuned in online. Amazing pairing, Freddies revenge close to the right wall at 330ft and The Villain close to the left at 1320ft. Great driving both teams! Dave got there first.
Bob Hawkins vs Mick Hannah. Mick runs with support from Kenny Gomez' Superchargers Unlimited. Problems as Bob pushed back after the burnout, Mick coming to the line and on the launch a fuel line came off with a spray into the air, Mick giving the throttle a second stab just for good measure.
Tony Betts 6.400/220.05 vs Adam Clayton shut off. Adam shut off with an uneven idle, great run for Tony 1.0831 to 60ft, 4.2185/179.04 to half track.

This is a practise session for racers to determine dial ins, so no qualifying order. First up Bradley Cooper in the flathead slingshot 11.6045/114.94 vs Gary Atkinson 9.9807/127.01, then Graham Rawling's VW engined slingshot 9.9357/130.91 vs Pete Brown in Wrathchild 11.4970/121.54. Followed by Ian Wild's Wildcat Jag altered 12.8579/102.20 vs Rob Brown in Rebel, fiancee Hayley in a floral red number urging Rob down the track as he got into a bit of a tank slapper, still ran 9.2682/144.35, great drive Rob!
Keith Crampton vs Dan Boone in American Pie, Dan's drone chute coming out and getting under the tyres, early shut off 11.6272/77.62 for Keith with new mechanicals. Next the pair of ultra short wheelbase Ts, Bobby Wright's Alturd 9.9849/134.42 and Steve Garland's Sonic Attack 14.1525/94.84. Next the T of Paul Tarry, Triggers Broom, built in 1972 by Ray Hoare (ex Hang Em High, Jean's T), quite a museum piece to 12.0131/113.78.
Followed by Chris Hartnell (Backdraft slingshot) vs son Lee Hartnell (Metal Mistress T), Claire Meaddows in a Union Jack dress that would suit Last Night of the Proms, big wheelie for Chris to 9.2240/150.05 and gentle 18.4979/46.31 for Lee. Robert White in Happy Daze slingshot with a few upgrades to 11.7778/100.83 alongside Tim Roy who wheelied to a new PB of 11.5363/130.63, well done Tim! Now on hold for a starting area incident.
Andy Stones emerged on a stretcher from the garage into which his Frantic altered had driven after an engine starting malfunction, he looked none the worse for wear and waved to the crowd. Andy will be checked out at the medical centre and we hope he will be back soon. Thanks to the medical staff and track crew who looked after Andy.

Huge field of over 45 cars, racing for a cash prize of £150 from Williams Bros Racing. James Oliver on a bye into #1 in the second race, then Pete Christmas also on a solo, followed by Dan Williams in the Chevelle (being converted to manual for 2022) goes to #3. Then Andy Robinson with a violent launch vs Paul Singer, Simon Rickwood vs Gary Carr (dials 8.90, the quickest possible for NSS), Gary to #1 spot with a 8.913/150. Then the Flag Jumper of Jake Cawthorne vs the El Camino of Paul Smail, Jake to #4.
The track crew are having to dry the track after each pair, racers are asked to try to remove rain water from wheel wells where possible. Jim Chandler to #3 against Gary Semper. Jim Smith alongside Vic Parsons, Vic going to #3. Next new boy Charlie Fuller, dialled the slowest possible 14.99, pushed back as Spencer Tramm went to #5.
Bev Tyrrell vs Nick Martin, pair of Dusters, Guy King (recovered from a late night dodgems competition with Williams Bros Racing) vs Gary Cork. Don Scott broke out to a PB 9.663/138, we're sure he won't be displeased with that! Lee Chiles into #4 with a nodding dog visible in the rear window. Good morning and welcome to our coverage of Day 2 of Dragstalgia 10 from Santa Pod Raceway. The weather here is dry with cloud and temperature 16C forecast to rise to 18C. It was quite muggy yesterday and should be fresher today.
There are several anniversaries today. If you've tuned into our news, you will see that US 'Camfather' Ed Iskenderian reaches 100 today and Rat Trap legend Ron Hope and his wife Diane celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Today is also an anniversary for more sombre reasons, because a year ago today, Stuart Bradbury, founder of the British Drag Racing Hall of Fame, passed away. Jerry Cookson has written: "A year ago to the day British drag racing lost one of its true legends. The man who ruled the start line. The man who founded the British Drag Racing Hall of Fame. British drag racing’s special friend to so many, Stuart Bradbury. Wherever we are today, whatever we are doing, please raise a glass or two of JD in honour of Stuart and what he achieved for this great sport of ours. God bless Stu, we all miss you, buddy." We will all raise a glass to Stu and always remember his achievements in our sport, and his inspiration to us.
That Stu's anniversary falls on Dragstalgia weekend is particularly apposite and visitors to Santa Pod Raceway will be able to visit the BDRHoF marquee and bid on the historic items up for auction. On the track, the first round of qualifying yesterday was cancelled after a heavy downpour, so there will be action galore today as invited classes get their first chance to run together at this event.
The action will pause at 11:10am for a minute's silence in memory of Dennis Priddle, and the track will fall quiet as we remember this pioneer racer, engineer and legend.
