Andy Raw 6.3163/191.36 Rob Elsom NTR. Dave Bryant crewing for Rob Elsom this weekend, Karl Harrison crewing for Andy Raw. Andy caught the blocks negating Rob's time. Andy off the line first, 0.1447 to Rob's 0.1513. Rob moving around his lane a fair bit with tyre spin. Incrementals for Andy 1.0191 and 4.0566/181.97 to the eighth, 6.0308/113.67 to half track for Rob. Andy got the car stopped safely and exited the cockpit after a fire under the car, but the Nitro Bug was stranded at the top end and clean up in progress for subsequent oil-down. Thanks to Andy Willsheer for informing us that whilst Andy Raw suffered two broken rods that went through the sump, the block is repairable, Andy has enough spares to make a return this season, and the body is relatively intact. Good news indeed.
A Top Fuel session scheduled for 13:00 was cancelled. We look forward to Ida Zetterström returning to complete her licensing.

Jet Car exhibition
Perry Watkins' engine refused to fire, some unburnt fuel catching light on the burnout pad, and he headed back down the old fireup road.
Martin Hill in Fireforce 5 warmed us up with a flame and thunder show directed by Richie, and ran 5.2877/251.76, with incrementals 0.9522 to 60ft and 3.5692/227.70. Now on a lunch break, we'll be back at 14:20.

First run Laurence Clark who goes straight to #1 in his first run after an engine swap, great run! Justin Folley up from #16 to #9. Interesting post from Jon Crawford who said that atmospheric conditions have resulted in adjusted altitude varying between 500 and 1800ft leading to dial ins being difficult to judge with a 'window' of 0.8, ten times what is usually experienced.

The drizzle came to a halt, the radar looks clear and the track team are utilising every implement to dry the track and prep it for racing. Stay tuned.

Good morning and welcome to day three of our coverage of Bug Jam 2021. The weather is rather drizzly currently with temperature of 18C, but the tractor is doing its thing on the racing surface and when precipitation stops the track can then be dried quickly for racing to begin.
Yesterday was a great day with all racing action that was planned taking place. There were three rounds of sportsman qualifying, jet car exhibitions, Supercharged Outlaws, match racing with Gasser Circus cars and the Top Fuel runs of Susanne Callin and Ida Zetter ström.
The plan for today is, once the track is dried, to conclude qualifying for the race classes and then into eliminations at lunchtime. Off-track activities should continue as shown in the programme or on the SPR web site, listen out for announcements on Nitro FM.
Greetings to Eurodragsterholics around the world, we are missing the overseas visitors and hope you will be able to come and meet up before the end of the racing season. Hi to Kai Plathan and Otto from Finland, the traditional raceday welcome to Kathy Hileman in New Hampshire, USA. A very Happy Birthday to Wayne Allman who will be celebrating from home with wife Helen, see you back on track soon Wayne.
