Simon Boot unable to start against Dave McCallan who ran 9.2106/145.69, his best of the weekend. Keith Freeman and Andy Fadster Hadfield a burnout competition followed by Purdie backing Fadster up. 7.861/171.09 for Fadster to 10.0887/122.76 with some engine smoke for Fadster in the shutdown area. Last pair Andy Park and Al Simm, 9.6314/139.40 for Andy to 9.7592/137.36 for Al, well done Andy! Simon Boot re-fired and ran 10.4325/138.53 after a little wander. That's the racing complete for the day, we will post the gallery in a couple of hours.

Colin Millar on a new OA speed record after running 194.72 mph earlier, 7.127/192.21 showing Colin was going for a new ET record, but the mph just short of backing up to 1%. Eurodragster.com sponsor Jon Webster against Pete Butler, Jon lifted but got a win and on to round 2 for him. Ginner reversing at a rate that puts him in the Freddie Fagerströ bracket then a great 8.74/161 run to defeat Spencer Tidswell.

The Frite went against Ray Colclough in the Watts Shop Dart 9.6511/138.60 to 10.3923/124.91 for the Frite. Track grooming then our next round of race classes.

Mick Checkett on a bye to start with, the former Shy Talker went 7.6390/182.10 despite two corrections as the car went left towards half track, great driving job Mick! 1.188 to 60ft and 4.9445/146.22 to half track. Simon Boot in the Bootlegger v Gary Parks in the Purple Daze altered next, Simon hunting to the start line and Gary first to 8.3728/162.52 to Simon's 9.7766/126.89. Then Paul Dale v Dave McCallan, both no improvement. Andy Hadfield v Joe Bond, Joe with a supercharger pop at 100ft as Fadster went to the left side of his lane to 8.2461/171.09, no improvement for him and Joe coasted through. Andy Park on a bye next, the immaculate car into the eights before but got lively on the launch to go 10.01/137.37. Then Al Simms who scored 9.64 in RWYB yesterday and Geoff Hawksworth, All off the line first to 9.806 to 10.339/146.29 for Geoff. Last was Keith Freeman to 10.0362/136.91.

Jon Webster for the first run in his new build Outlaw Anglia, painted in the last week by OCS Paint. Lots of aerodynamic tricks at the rear, car went to the left of his lane at 330ft, 8.5541/144.83 on first run ever, 1.0789 to 60 ft, great first run! Chris Kenny v Ronnie Mercer, great to see Chris back after a break. Then Al O'Connor v Garry Hill, Al with 0.006 RT, Garry improved his time by a tenth. Phil Drewitt (403) v Phil 'Ginner' Middleton. Phil Drewitt improved from his previous run. Then Barry Woodford v Andy Cunningham, no time for Barry. Two black cars next, Pete Jones' chopped to Dave Pearce's stock appearing body, who went 9.7072/140.80, great pass. Colin Millar against the gold car of Peter Butler (170), Colin with three stages of nitrous, driving through tyre shake to 192.23mph in 7.1648, great pass and a big step towards a six. Next Garry Bird v Kim Harrison, Garry getting to the left, a glitch in the timing system for him though. Next Spencer Tidswell v Mick Taylor having run a great 7.7437 in the first session, now going to the right, correcting and 7.8011/175.06, great driving job!

JJ Johnston in Ratchetstrap Racing, doing a checkout v Jim Tanner who didn't start. Then Bobby Wright v Ollie H-Smith, both having run PBs yesterday and Bobby even quicker earlier. Hop off the line for Bobby, Ollie matching his best from yesterday at 10.8484/120.91.
Chris Manning next, car not wanting to go into reverse after 300ft burnout but was then ok, against Graham Rawlins in the VW engined slingshot. Chris looking for a six ran 7.0171/201.53, 1.1725 to 60ft and 4.6202/161.99 to the eighth, well done Chris and team on a new PB for ET! After a tiny wiggle at 1000ft on the run the car got close to the right wall in the shut down area. Next was Rob Brown in Rebel with Hayley doing backup duties in a red dress matching her hair against Callum Swinchatt, 8.8030/147.19 OB for Callum, well done Callum! Pete Brown in Wrathchild against 32 (name forthcoming), Tim Roy to a new PB 12.3617/108.73 in the Jaguar 6 cyl slingshot.
Chris Hartnell v Mark Coulsell, Chris sharing driving duties with son Mark this weekend. Big wheelie and close to the 330ft block for Chris, great speed for Mark. Lee Hartnell on a bye with the Metal Mistress 23T, wheelspin on the launch and down track to a 12, diff problems by the look of things. Mick Hillier in Texas Ranger, odd to see a nitrous purge on a Topolino altered, but got him a 8.9215/146.63, Brian Watson on a new PB 9.9817/127.36, first in the nines, well done Brian!

Outlaw Anglia qualifying session 1
Colin Millar (88) and Gary Bird (92) out first. Backfire for Colin at the tree, carried on down the track, hopefully no damage. Gary ran a 8.603/148.70, we think a new PB, well done Gary! Ronnier Mercer (8) and Kim Harrison (995) next, Ronnie running a 9.04. Next Martin Payne (44) v class rookie Peter Butler (170), followed by Peter Jones (888) and Garry Hill (107) running a 9.70/139.49. Next up Mick Taylor, wanting to run a 7, and Luke Hoskins (75). Strong run for Mick, 7.743/177.14, 1.1553 to 60 ft, amazing and his first seven, well done Mick and team! Followed by Phil Drewitt (403) and Andy Cunningham (98) who had repaired damage unloading the car on Thursday. Next was Spencer Tidswell in his new car (91) and Ginner (99), fantastic first run for Ginner, 8.2868/163.73 and 1.2296, well done Ginner and team! Ted Booth (55) v 271 who had a problem and then restarted to a 10.9598. Next Ben Rushforth (731) and Bob Nixon (48), great 9.2199/157.93 for Ben, well done Ben and team!

First out Danny Jones and Bobby Wright, who ran PBs yesterday, and improved again to 10.1832/136.59, well done Bobby and the Alturd team! WB47 is Andy Stones with the Jag V12 altered built in 1977 and stored for 37 years, now with a new chassis and gearbox. Craig Greenfield with Grumpy Monkey went left off the launch and he briefly pedaled and then 9.5368/144.41, well done on their first nine! 28 cars here but some still arriving this morning, so the class will fill up later.

Good morning and welcome to the second day of our John Woolfe Racing-sponsored coverage of the NSRA Hot Rod Drags, now in its 32nd year. The weather is again very pleasant here at Santa Pod Raceway and the temperature is 15C (62F) rising to 24C (74F) with wind of 16mph.
Yesterday was great, with many PBs from the RWYB racers and class racers that were testing. You can see our galleries from Diana and Julian by going to our event index. Today's timetable which you can see at Santa Pod's web site includes five class sessions at 09:30, 11:30, 14:30, 17:30 and 19:30 as we will be running to 20:00, with a firework display shortly afterwards. Class sessions will be interspersed with RWYB from which we'll report the quicker times from cars we can identify. Eliminations for nvited classes will start at 09:30 tomorrow. There will also be a live video stream of all three days at Santa Pod's Youtube channel so enjoy the action.
Welcome again to all Eurodragsterholics who are tuned in, and greetings in particular to friends and colleagues that can't be here, Nev and Libby Mottershead, Callum Pudge and Kai Plathan and Otto in Finland, and others who would be here if they could.
