Despite the best efforts of the track staff to dry the track, the rain came back and the radar does not look promising. So the event has been called with finals not run. We wish everyone a safe journey home and will be back with live reporting at VW Breakout. We will post our Sunday galleries when we are back at base.

Steve Woollatt (Top Fuel Bike) first, in his favoured right lane. Short burnout, engine note not quite even afterwards, then smooth as he went 6.558/186.56 (1.1305 60ft, 4.2450/180.42 to 1/8th).
Neil Midgley (Supertwin) next, also right lane. Bike left hard, went straight and Neil was on it to 1000ft. 7.3900/123.51 (1.044 60ft, 4.201/154.21 to 1/8th). Track inspection and sledding of the left hand lane before the next run.
Andy Raw (Nostalgia Funny Car) ran in the left hand lane. Car went left and Andy corrected it nicely. 9.2213/87.36, 1.11383 to 60ft and 4.8359/120.76 to 1/8th. Track inspection and sledding of the left hand lane as there was some clutch dust from Andy's run.
Bobby Wallace (Pro Mod) burnout to 100ft, single largish nitrous purge before staging. Car launched hard, went up on tyres with a lot of tyre shake, and a backfire in the exhaust as Bobby came off the throttle. 1.3364 to 60ft and he rolled through the finish before being towed into the pits.

Naughty 8.5017/144 for Steve Hudson. Leah Kellett continued to have problems with the engine cutting out after the burnout and her newly painted Dolly Daydream car pushed back. She said that the torque converter was replaced yesterday evening with the help of Eurodragster.com sponsors Scott and Geof Hauser.

Good morning and welcome to day two of the STP Greenlight Nationals from Santa Pod Raceway. It's a wonderful morning, warm with hardly a cloud in the sky. The timing crew are laying out the reflectors and marshals cleaning the starting area but it's quiet for the moment.
The plan for today is to have final qualifying in Super Comp, Comp Eliminator, Funny Bike and Junior Drag Bike and then into round one of eliminations at around 09:55. We will bring you the results as soon as they appear on the timing system. In the meantime you could have a look at our two galleries from yesterday, 215 photos of Julian's mainly on the track and 80 from Diana from pitside.
A few celebratory greetings today. First a very happy 15th birthday to Meg Talbot from Rise Racing, Mum and Crew Chief Kerryanne, Becki, James and Bobby. We also have two Ruby wedding anniversaries today. Happy 40th wedding anniversary to Julia and Bob Hawkins (Wild Bunch slingshot racer), who have travelled up to Scotland to celebrate. Also a very happy 40th anniversary to Jacky and Ray White (former Pro Mod racer and Eurodragster.com complaints manager) who are celebrating in Dymchurch.
