In the other lane an improvement for Kirsten van Croonenborgh but stayed in place. 19:10 Nostalgia Super Stock qualifying session 3 0.0010 RT for Clive Dandridge in the first pair, nice one Clive! A pair of PBs for Claire Johnson - with "9.99 just for a laugh" on the back of the car - and Simon Rickwood, Claire going from +0.0094 to +0.0022 to consolidate #1 spot. Well done both!
16:05 Supercharged Outlaws qualifying session 2 Tony Underhill shut off for fluid before staging, large puddle visible as the car was pushed back. Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy Hadfield ready to take the bye but then he too was shut off, reason not obvious. Christian Zukauf sounded to have problems with idle, eventually shut it off and returned to the pits. 11:30 Gasser Circus qualifying session 1 Puff of smoke from each bank of Simon Glenn's motor, brief hold to check the track.
11:15 Nostalgia Super Stock qualifying session 1 Nice 0.0031 RT from Guy King in what is a substitute car - his primary car broke rear end gears yesterday. Last run of the session and smoke from Dave Simcock's motor in the second half and all the way down the shutdown area. Tractor called for a sled. No less than nine of nineteen broke out in this session.
09:30 Good morning from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the NSRA Nostalgia Nationals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing. It rained heavily overnight but the track crew have done and are continuing to do a great job of getting the track ready. Right now we have cloud and sun, and a gentle breeze. The timing crew are setting out the beams and reflectors whilst the track crew are taking a jet down the centre of the shutdown area. Today's plan is to bring you results of the Supercharged Outlaws, Outlaw Anglia, Nostalgia Super Stock and the Gasser Circus whose qualifying sessions are due at 11:00. 15:00 and 19:00. We will post a gallery at the end of the day. Pit notes were planned but Simon is currently setting a new World Land Speed Record towards the nearest dentist. Hope it gets sorted Simon and we'll see you next weekend.
