Kevin K on ET and speed records. Kevin C visibly left first 0.1243 to 0.3523, Kevin K with the better sixty 0.9189
to 0.9902. No real sign of shake for either. Kevin K with the better 330 foot 2.3757 to 2.5259 and the better eighth
3.3939/251.42 to Kevin C's 3.5949/243.87. Kevin K's FC made a move left towards the thousand, Kevin C took the stripe by 0.0126.
A flash of flame from Kevin K's motor right under the gantry, car on fire and safety crews chased him to the end of the track.
Kevin K's 4.236 and 286.49 backed up for new records and that was the quickest and festest side-by-side of the
1000-foot Funny Car era. Well done Kevin C, Kevin K, John Smith and teams! Hold for top end clean-up.

Good morning from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the Festival of Power brought
to you in association with John Woolfe Racing.
It's a glorious day here at Santa Pod, not a cloud in the sky. The track is being sledded and looks (and in this case sounds)
just great.
Today's plan is again for a real-time reports and results throughout the day, pit notes updated throughout the day, and then a gallery
at the end of the day. No webcast from us this weekend, Santa Pod Raceway are streaming the event on YouTube Live and
Facebook; you can find a link to the YouTube on the Event Index and please note that the YouTube won't show the live link
until the broadcast commences.
We have a new addition to the team this weekend, Your Reporter's former home laptop which is now a racing laptop. The idea
was to use it to generate the galleries and to manage the video files for our friends at Zeon TV. Unfortunately it has spent
a lot of the weekend playing up, culminating in a number of Julian's pictures from yesterday being unreadable. The pictures were
fine, the problem was with the laptop. Yesterday's gallery, which you can check out via the Event Index, is therefore provisional
and we will add the missing batch of shots later on.
It wasn't all bad news though as we were treated to a very delicious dinner courtesy of John Hunt of Mark and Jackie
Hawkins' Fuel Funny Car team, thank you. Dinner was taken at our desks here in Race Control but believe me it's amazing how much
longer you can work with good food inside you. Daytimes are taken care of courtesy of lunch provided by Eurodragster.com

The traditional Raceday Good morning to our US Correspondent Kathy Hileman who is tuned in from NH.
