Kevin C's team briefly looked to have trouble getting the body latched. Left the line with one cylinder out on the left
side. 0.9832 to sixty, not much visible shake to speak of, slight drift left easily covered. Looked to be off the gas right
after the eighth 3.5707/216.67, the car's body language possibly suggesting a broken belt. Track crew checked the lane,
clean-up called. Jason visibly away first 0.2768 to Kevin K's 0.5093, Kevin had the better sixty 0.8044 to Jason's 0.9305.
Very similat 330 foot times 2.4679 for Jason to Kevin's 3.6867, all eyes then on Jason as the car pulled a wheelie before
the eighth 3.7652/160.55. Jason off the gas then back on it, another wheelie and he shut it off. That could have got very
messy but Jason's experience kept him in the road. Kevin to the eighth in 3.6867/178.14, reeling Jason in but ran out of
road, Jason there first by 0.0055 or 14.83 inches. Clean-up called in Jason's lane.

Jean's motor sounded like a bag of spanners, did not want to get up on the revs for the burnout then stopped with a "Phut".
Marck rolled to the eighth after his burnout. Marck rolled the beams very slightly before hitting it, 1.0745 to sixty, slight move
left but he had it covered.
Michel to sixty in 1.0094 already fighting shake by that point, car moved left and he shut it off. 4.0663/186.60 to the eighth for Marck,
shut it off a touch early and had the chutes out on the stripe so more to come. Eurodragster.com sponsor Jon with shake and smoke and a
long pedal, 1.3003 to sixty. Nick to sixty in 1.0482, shake marks about 200 feet out but he stayed on the gas, Jon stomped back on the throttle,
Nick way ahead at the eighth 4.2529/175.37, Jon in 5.4702/160.20. Bert to sixty in 1.0519, Eurodragster.com sponsor Chris in 1.0910,
both hit shake, both drove through it, both moved right but stahed with it, both lost time to the shake. Bert with the better eighth

Eurodragster.com father-in-law John Atkinson, needless to say first out in the session, moved up from #10 to #6 at +0.0378.
0.0025 breakout for Ron Bartlett, 7.23 deficit in track length. 7.7853 on 7.77 for Laura Turburville but her standing did
not change on the timing system, should have put her fourth. Big puff of smoke from Phil Toppin's right bank,
off the gas for a few seconds then back on it, track checked and all OK. John Tebenham now back in Super Pro ET, in
at #13. 0.0004 breakout for Brad Jackson, the track 1.23 inches too short. Super Pro ET will be having their E1 later.

straight on and into the field, went a fair way. James and car are OK. Multiple Super Street Champion
Leigh Morris now running in Pro ET, dialled in 10.20 and ran 10.1567. Next pair and Jon Turner moved up from
#22 to #9 at +0.0293. Nice 0.0087 RT for Amy Watkins and then a 0.0030 breakout, the track 7.25 inches too short

Wild Bunch qualifying session 3
Great to see Bob Hawkins here in Race Control looking completely recovered from yesterday's guardrail
excursion, he said he had no memory of getting himself out of the car but remembers waking up in the
medical centre. He spent a couple of hours under observation in hospital. Bob said that the dragster is OK
from the motor plate backwards, the front end needs work. Monster breakout for Pete Brown, 8.3546 on 8.62
dial-in, I don't think they are worried about the breakout. Well done guys! In the other lane Dan Boone
moved up to #2 +0.0085 on dial-in, close to the Bruce/Eurodragster.com Perfect ET Award. Quick check of
pete's lane, all OK. Next pair and a huge wheelie for Mark Coulsell, easily 45 degrees, thumped down and
bounced then stopped about 200 feet out. Safety crews sprinted to Mark's aid, medics checked him out as
a precuation as that landing looked pretty hard as did the subsequent bounce. In the other lane Callum
Swinchatt moved up to #3 at +0.0419.

Slow-speed burnout by Jean, motor sounded reluctant before the burnout started. Crew went to the car after

1.0441, Jon drove through shake and held on to the Mustang as it headed for the centre line. Michel pedalled
about 100 feet out, a couple of goes at it then shut it off. Jon to the eighth in 4.2908/174.02, Michel

flame from both pipes right on the stripe. Kev's motor stopped as he hit the gas for the burnout, pushed back.

the Transbrake Launch Love Club yesterday, another big breakout but I think we
will probably need to take him to a surgeon to remove the smile from his face.

Taylor's Trophy Super Street Bike qualifying session 3
First pair and a huge wheelie for Graham Balchin, did a good job of holding it on landing and got back on the
gas. In the other lane Ven into the sixes and sets a new speed record of 211.92 mph, congratulations Ven!
Next pair and an improvement for Dave Thomas but stayed #8, Dave Smith also improved but stayed in place.
Didn't take Garry Bowe long to get into the season, 6.9607. Big improvement for Alex Hope put him into
the ladder. Final run of the session and a big wheelie for Chris Reed, thumping landing, rear wheel locked
up and Bois slid it to a stop. Right now probably sounds as if he has been breathing helium.

John Atkinson up to #10 in the first pair, in the other lane Joe Kellett had a go at the Eurodragster.com/Bad Habit Racing
Perfect Light Award but just a squeak too quick at -0.0075. Dave Catton even closer at -0.0005, no cigar. Barry Giles up to #4
in the other lane at +0.0311. Slight improvement and another seven for Dave Evans at 7.9897, stayed #2. Phil Toppin's motor
cut a hundred or so feet out and he rolled to a halt just past the finish line. Recovery called but then drove himself off
the track. Another great burnout 100-foot by Ron Bartlett then up form #15 to #12. Wheels-pu with tyre shake launch for Steve
Johnson's slingshot, headed for the centre line so had to shut it off. Reigning Champion Brad Jackson up from #8 to #4 next pair.

Good morning from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the Festival of Power brought

Another beautiful day here at Santa Pod. Hardly a cloud in the sky and it's going to be warm when the sun gets a bit further up.
It was certainly comfortable here in Race Control when the sun came in yesterday afternoon. The track crew having done a late night
scraping the Energy Check lane last night were out there again early this morning scraping the AutoGlym lane.
Today's plan is again for a real-time reports and results throughout the day, pit notes updated throughout the day, and then a gallery
at the end of the day. No webcast from us this weekend, Santa Pod Raceway are streaming the event on YouTube Live and
Facebook; you can find a link to the YouTube on the Event Index and please note that the YouTube won't show the live link
until the broadcast commences. If I say this often enough... in the same way that we would not expect Santa
Pod to entertain queries or comments about our own webcasts, we won't respond to queries or comments about SPR's webcast.
