1.0292 to sixty for Tobba, Robbie in 1.1186 then problems, starting to pedal and getting off it.
Tobba long gone by the eighth, 4.0831/179.56 then haze from the motor and smoke from one side.

Paul rolled the beams very slightly before hitting it. Thickening smoke from the right bank past 1000 feet then the
car briefly obscured by smoke in the shutdown area. Track checked and all OK.

Second time of asking for Erik, motor sounded as if it were running on petrol first time. Aggressive red-misty
burnout which is understandable I'd say. 1.1534 to sixty with a lot of clutch dust, absolutely straight to the
eighth 4.4934/168.52 and on the gas all the way.
Matt Wright no time bye
Second time of asking for Matt too, at the first attempt the motor stopped after the burnout. Staged and then
went before the Tree went, to pile Pelion upon Ossa when the Matt pulled the chute it came off the car and
fell to the track in the traps. Got it stopped OK though.

Fantastic runs for Jan Honee and Tim Blakemore but then drama as legend John Hobbs' Olympus
made a move left then slid out from under him. Chris Illman in the other lane had to take avoiding

and right, a pedal, 5.0811/123.10 to the eighth feathering the throttle, off the gas as the moves got more
serious. Fuel squirt from Paul's bug catcher in the burnout, shut off and pushed back. Tim to sixty in 1.0362, Tobba in 1.0441,
Tim tried to drive through shake and the FC made a left turn, off the gas and wrrenched it right and up
on two wheels, luckily back down on to four. Tobba to the eighth in 4.0940/180.99. Matt rolled through
stage, backed up and edged out of stage again, Chief Starter Ian Marshall put his foot in the stage beam
and ran the Tree. Matt on the gas then off, back on then feathered and idled through. First outing for Wendy
in the new Time Warp FC, left a trail of oil from the pairing lanes round to the bleach box, shut off.

Slingshot Showdown eliminations round 1
Bob Hawkins no time, Sam Freeman no time
Drama in this race as Sam's motor started to spray fluid at the eighth, the dragster moved left then went into a flat spin,
a couple of spins then into Bob's lane. Meanwhile Bob whose dragster had been drifting right had backked out of it and
Sam's dragster bumped into the back of Bob's car, continued its flat spin and spun round to hit Bob's dragster again.
Cars tangled then Sam's car went up on its side and stopped just past the finish line still on its side. Bob's car went across
into the right lane and ended up nestled alongside the guardrail. Safety crews moved instantly and were very quickly with Sam
and Bob. Both extricated from their cars after checks by the medical teams, word quickly came back that both were walking and
talking.
Joe Bond 6.5567/207.05 def. Christian Frei 8.0360/165.45
Christian away first 0.1502 to 0.1648, rapid 1.0944 sixty for Joe to Christian's 1.2136. Joe's slingshot gently swaying
left and right but he probably didn't even notice, visible lead at the eighth 4.3064/173.36 to Christian's 5.1320/137.28.
Joe off the gas and chutes out a touch early.

The traditional Raceday Side-By-Side Time Trials Day greetings to our US Correspondent Kathy Hileman who is tuned
in from NH, hope your weekend is going OK Kathy. A big Good Morning also to the Eurodragsterholics, especially Ivar Kolberg
