Andy Frost's campaign to make Red Victor 3 the world's quickest and fastest street-legal car continued with a second day of private rental of Santa Pod Raceway. Tuner Shane Tecklenburg and the team were working on edging down the sixty foot times and bringing in the boost earlier. Frosty made a couple of passes under power to 1000 feet, the first 6.6349/168.55 and the second 6.4516/182.87. The eighth-mile times extrapolated to 6.0s and possibly quicker since courtesy of the turbos the eighth-mile speeds were high for the ETs.

Frost came to visit us in the lunch break and said that on his next pass he would stay on the gas if it felt OK. After a rain delay, and in far-from-ideal cloudy and cold conditions, Frosty went all the way under power clocking 6.0752/248.24. The team, who had got turn-rounds down to thirty five minutes, had the car ready for a fourth pass but persistent rain forced a halt to proceedings.

Topspeed Automotive Street Eliminator racer Al Williamson stayed for the second day. The first pass in his pick-up was an 9.1205/121.42 followed by an 8.4132/169.88. The tyres smoked at the hit on the third pass then after a shut-off for rain the pick-up edged out of stage just enough to trigger the clocks invalidating the ET although the terminal speed was 150.06 mph.

Darkside Developments also stayed the second day and continued Tuesday's form, the best of four passes a 9.5359/144.31. The team also fielded a diesel Audi which opened its account with a 12.4856/111.95 and got increasingly quicker, the last pass a 12.1311/104.49.

Comp Bike 264 had solved Tuesday's misfire, progressively quicker runs culminated in a 9.4854/148.22 with a 0.0014 Reaction Time.

Billy Low-Hing and Paul Fenech, both of whom contested the Doorslammers in their Harris Powerhouse Escorts, put in best passes of 11.3348/115.67 and 10.8079/119.65 respectively.

Front Wheel Drive racer Richard Batty clocked two nine-second passes, the best a 9.5858/156.85. Fellow FWD racer Wendell Brand made one pass of 11.0650/86.68 then trailered out.

A number of GTR owners attended including Ian Cleminshaw who kicked his Personal Best into next week with passes of 8.7524/164.24, 8.6968/169.19, then an astounding 8.2741/173.10. Ian's fellow GTR owners clocked times ranging from 9.5457/160.76 to the mid-twelves.

Again rain brought an early halt to the day.
