Drama in the second pair as Dave Buttery's motor coughed, something came off the bike and then he got into an almighty
tankslapper. Twice or three times Dave saved it as the swerving became more violent but eventually came off the bike at the
eighth. Safety crews moved instantly, Dave taken to the Medical Centre to be checked out but OK. Clean-up from the point that
something came off the bike, I am guessing that fluid contributed to the tankslapper.

It is a beautiful morning here at Santa Pod, sun and high cloud, a little chilly but then it is Autumn. Have you ever noticed how those same social media mizzogs who spoil our anticipation posting dire forecasts before an event never post when the forecast is good? Today's plan is for the usual real-time reports and results, and a gallery at the end of the day courtesy of Julian. No pit notes today as Simon will be sitting next to Your Reporter working out Championship results in real time. The reports may be a little less detailed than usual as Your Reporter is not only reporting but also commentating and running the webcam today.
