No surprise to be honest but we have been called for the day. The plan is as follows:

  • MSA Pro Modified will receive a one-shot qualifier tomorrow morning.

  • ACU classes Top Fuel Bike, Super Street Bike, Funny Bike, Comp Bike and Junior Drag Bike will receive a one-shot qualifier in the morning.

  • All Sportsman car classes and UK National bike classes 8.50 Bike, 9.50 Bike and ET Bike are on emergency qualifying, which means ladders for tomorrow set by random pairings drawn from a hat this afternoon (no qualifying points awarded).

We start at 09:30 tomorrow with the ACU bike qualifying session, then E1 of Super Pro ET, then the Pro Modified qualifying session, then the running order continues as published.

Spectators with one-day tickets can re-use those tickets tomorrow.

Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the UK National Finals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing. Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be on-line broadcasting live video and commentary/Nitro FM audio so long as the track is open, but please read on.

That "So long as the track is open" is significant right now as it started raining earlier this morning and has yet to stop. The track is currently wet and the weather radar display is not necessarily to our advantage. This will of course please the usual social media mizzogs who have spent a lot of this week seemingly wanting this to happen. So, no webcast until or unless we get started but Nitro FM are streaming at www.eurodragster.com/nitrofm.

We will of course keep you apprised but in the meantime why not check out yesterday's All Torque Test Day gallery courtesy of Julian.

Finally for this update we have a birthday in the pits today; a very Happy 60th Birthday and many more of them to multiple UK National Super-class Champion Brian Pateman. Have a great day Brian.
