Perfect ET Award. Next run and Martin Curbishley ready to stage but shut off for spots of rain which got harder.
13:50 Gearhead Garage Super Pro ET qualifying session 3 Second pair and Wouter van Leersum came equipped with everything he needed except the dial-in board which was safely
in the golf cart. Good thing they ran for it as Wouter moved up from #27 to #6 at +0.0097, in the other lane Dave Evans
up from #15 to #8. Next pair and Mark Flavell's tyres didn't light on the burnout, the motor popping and spitting
flame as it was yesterday but into the sixes and up from #25 to #19. Next up the ladder Austin Jacqyes, #13 to #3 at
+0.0076. Much straighter run and chute in the proper place for John Gerritsen, 6.7016/209.12 breakout on 6.76 dial-in.
Skittish run for Laura Turburville next pair but held on to it. Bob Doyle next up th eladder, #23 to #13. At that point
+0.0722 bought you #17. Barry Giles on a bye shut off whilst returning from his burnout, pushed back, I can't remember
Barry ever having been pushed back before in all the years I have watched him racing. Daniel held up the crank trigger
which had some loose from the motor. Paul Brown took the bye, up from #20 to #10. Big wheelie for Pel Norman, fluid visibly
spraying from under the car. Track checked and all OK, fuel I guess. Great to see former Pro Mod racer Henri Joosten
crewing with Johan Oomen. In the other lane another step to the left for Dave Catton's dragster at half track, off the
gas and gathered it up.
13:20 Modurstang Pro ET qualifying session 3 First pair and Simon Innes and Ben Newsome side-by-side up to #2 and #1 respectively at +0.0053 and +0.0045, both close to the Eurodragster.com/Vitesse Labelling Products Perfect ET Award. Next pair and David Smith up from #24 to #9. Eddy van den Bos next up the ladder, #24 to #12 followed by Ethan Lisle #21 to #7. Next pair and Steve Hudson took over #1 spot from #23 at +0.0027. Another move from #21 to #7, this time Amy Watkins. 0.0007 RT for Gilles Perruchoud next pair, felicitations Gilles! Up from #27 to #17 into the bargain. -0.0040 squeaker RT for Lee Huxley in the next pair. Last pair of the sessuion and Will Clark moved up from #25 to #16. 13:10 Lucas Oil Junior Dragster qualifying session 2 Frankie Taylor up from #12 to #10 first pair. Frankie Fordham up from #17 to #9 next pair,
in the other lane Katie Ellis was nudging the throttle as the lights ran, keen to get going.
Caitlin Wilson and Lara Bartlett swapped #4 and #3 side-by-side. Tyre spin for Thomas Cook-Abbott
next pair, on the shiny stiff just right of centre of the lane. Next pair Harley Coulsell and
Thaliah Gibb side-by-side up from #22 to #8 and #20 to #5 respectively, Thaliah's #5 lasted one
pair as today's Eurodragster.com News contributor Matthew Dowdy moved up from #15 to #4.
Two pairs later a move from #23 to #13 for Luke Mugridge. Last pair and a 0.0097 for Joe
Holland-Villa moved him up to #1
12:55 Terry Gibbs Super Gas Shootout qualifying session 2 Simon Gough up from #2 to #2 in the first pair. 9.8766 breakout for Brett Featherstone, crew
looked absolutely delighted with that. Next pair... gone from the timing console. Next pair and
Tim Moore shut off early, nothing visibly wrong.
12:50 Comp Eliminator qualifying session 2 Nice twisty wheelie for Paul Brooks and right on his index, in the other lane Rene Ehrismann's motor
hesitated off the line then he hit shake when the motor picked up. Quicker yet for Robin Sattler, in the
other lane Jens Zimmermann's Jaguar got out of shape in the second half, almost had the 1000 foot reflectors.
Pulled it back and put the chute out. Great opener for Conrad Stanley good for #3 at that point, in the
other lane (unusually for him the left) Robin Orthodoxou had a good launch but then shut off before the
eighth. Big shake for Tim Mugridge, two pedals and gave it up. First outing for the day for Chris Orthodoxou's
blown-alcohol Pro Mod, index 7.16. Dirver's side door took several attempts to get securely shut before staging.

12:30 Super Comp qualifying session 2 Interesting wheelie for Arndt Puzmann in the first pair, the car visibly went upwards before it moved forward. A
pedal and the car went for the guardrail, a couple more pedals as he paid a close visit to photog Remco Scheelings and then an
even closer visit to spotter Chris Schreier at 330 feet, a real fag paper job that one. Stu Doignie up form #10 to #1
at +0.0342. Final pair and a quick look beneath Collin Morrice's Camaro before staging, all OK.

11:00 Comp Eliminator qualifying session 1 First pair and a drift to the right for Jens Zimmermann, backed out of it before the eighth. Robin Sattler 0.6963 under index but word came back that the run had been disallowed as Robin did not have the car weighed on the way back. Tyre-squealy full pass for Eurodragster.com sponsor Chris Isaacs in the Isaacs and Tramm Pro Mod, drove through shake off the line into the bargain. Great to see Dirk Peiler here with the big Dart. Backed up way off his tracks as his crew gesticulated frantically but all sorted on the way to stage. More and more smoke from Dirk's motor on the run and all the way down the shutdown area, in the other lane Tim Mugridge with instant shake and spin, shut off before the Tree. Track checked in Dirk's lane and clean-up called. Kev Perkins' car back in Kev's hands today, hesitation off the line cost him ET. Robin Orthodoxou closed the session, shake and then up on three wheels about 300 feet out, shut it off.

Nick Good's dragster, I am guessing a planned half pass although the car was heading left at that time. Austin back for

It is a beautiful day here at Santa Pod, hardly a cloud in the sky and a gentle breeze.
