Marcus and team had problems starting the motor, Jimmy sportingly waited in the bleach box unwil Marcus came around
the corner. Marcus away first 0.1137 to 0.1176, Jimmy with the quicker sixty 1.0137 to 1.0467. Both hit shake
and tried to drive through it, pedal from Jimmy before the eighth 4.3344/163.46 whilst Marcus' Vette was
weaving left and right and visibly ahead at the eighth 4.3093/171.39, Marcus off the gas just before the stripe, Jimmy overhauled
him and took it by 0.0691.
That's racing done, we will post today's gallery when we get back to base.

During the turn-roubd time for the finalists a grudge match session was held including a Pro Modified match between Kev Slyfield and
Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy Robinson. Andy took it 6.0213/242.42 to Kev's early shut off 6.5659/163.66. A couple of pairs later
Colin Millar and Scott Crookston matched up in their Outlaw Anglias. 0.0012 RT for Scott, 8.5543/155.27 to Colin's 9.3090/142.03.

today as we are behind schedule. Pete Youhill shut off and pushed back before his race with Lee Pike.
Oliver Krautberger and Jon Giles both signalled to shut off before their race, fluid check downtrack.
Massive breakout and PB or Jon Turner, smoke from the car in the second half. In the other
lane yesterday's winner Collin Morrice +0.0088 on dial-in. Clean-up called in Jon's lane. Really great
to see Paul Brooks back with the Mean As Hell Sierra, very tidy-looking car and certainly approved
of the 7.70 dial-in.

The front end of Mattias' car Coke-bottled at the top end yesterday and suffered damage, although saying that there
was not much sign of that this morning. No burnout, staged and idled along the track.

Kev toting a Top Methanol Dragster motor borrowed from Turner Racing. On his first run yesterday clocked a
3.95 eighth which indicated a five-second pass had he gone all the way. Bruno away first 0.0661 to 0.0722,
Kev with the better sixty 0.9920 to 0.9932. Shake for both, Kev's car drifted left, he wrenched it back but
was off the gas passing 330 feet 2.9201. Bruno also with shake, a pedal and picked up. 4.1352/179.10 at the
eighth close to the centre line, nudged the 1000 foot block with his exhaust, took the stripe by 3.7113.

The chance to tune for next week's Main Event. Storming 0.9718 to sixty then shake, Camaro started to drift left,
a pedal, 2.7100 to 330 feet and off the gas before the eighth 4.5101/110.72. Brief grooming of the lane followed.

Relatively restrained 300-foot burnout, rolled to the eighth and then backed up faster than some of us ever
go forwards. Shake off the line, 1.1219 to sixty, a pedal and the tyres started to turn, engine note went up, another pedal before
the eighth 4.2267/187.28 and off the gas and chutes out at 1000 feet.

Greetings to Camp Stanley in the USA, we are missing you here. -0.0420 red light by David gave it away.
Shake for Marcus, 1.0364 to sixty, pedal, a lot of time lost before the eighth 4.8009/126.99 and very close to
taking out a reflector in the second half. For the record 0.9601 to sixty for David, 3.8470/192.92 at the eighth.

Jimmy visibly moved first 0.0823 to 0.1084, Wayne withjt he better sixty 0.9801 to 0.9968. Wayne tried to drive through
shake but the Vette started to move further and further left and he had to get off the gas and pull it straight.
3.8905/192.05 at the eighth for Jimmy, 4.4216/130.01 for Wayne who then got back on the gas but Jimmy was way out
in front.
Andy Robinson 5.9832/242.39 def. Marck Harteveld no time DQ
Marck away first 0.0641 to 0.0948 for Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy. Andy had the better sixty 0.9714 to 0.9883
but then all eyes on Marck as the 'Bird hit shake, the motor screamed and the car turned hard right. Nothing
Marck could do, the car went head-on into the right guardrail about 500 feet out. Andy was luckily ahead and
passed the eighth 3.9415/191.72. Marck's car slid sideways with a trail of fire along the track from the fractured
fuel tank, a pirouette then came to a rest nose-in to the rail. A huge heat haze around the car presaged a fire which
erupted as the safety crews arrived and as Marck got himself out of the car. Fire briefly engulfed the front end of
the car but put out quickly. Marck perfectly OK but taken to the Medical Cantre to be checked out. The car is in a bad way.

Track checked and all OK. Cyril Jugon broke off the line in his race with Luke Pritchard, similar story for Wendall
Brand in his race with Adrian Solly.

Good morning and welcome to our coverage of Doorslammers Day 2 brought to you in association with
John Woolfe Racing.
It's another beautiful day here at Santa Pod, a carbon copy of yesterday. Not a cloud in the sky and the wind
turbines hardly moving.
The plan for today is to post elimination results and then to post a gallery at the end of the day courtesy of Kirstie,
Julian and Diana. There is a possible problem with the reports today as one of Your Reporter's dogs broke a leg yesterday;
she is currently with the overnight vet and if I get called home then I will be going. But let's worry about that if it
happens.
