Top Fuel Bike: Steve Woollatt 6.2452/185.52 bye, Rene van den Berg no show 16:30 Top Fuel Dragster Test and Tune Maja Udtian 4,4118/205.85 bye 0.8991 to sixty with a cylinder out, 2.3198 to 330 feet with the motor spitting smoke out of both sides then a flash of flame at the eighth 3.3460/237.12. Clean-up crew called. 16:25 Comp Bike eliminations round 3 Eddy Smiley and Sean Mills shut off as the timing system hung, on the restart Sean Mills was unable to run. Eddy's round win won him the 2017 ACU UK Comp Bike Champion, congratulations Eddy and team!

07:35 Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the UK National Finals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing. The plan for today is for the usual real-time reports and results, Championship updates courtesy of Simon (for which reason there will be no pit notes today), and an end-day gallery courtesy of Julian and DD. As well as reporting and running the webcast Your Reporter is also commentating so the reports may not be quite as detailed as usual. As ever I will do my best. The Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be on-line broadcasting live video and commentary / Nitro FM audio so long as the track is open. The order of business today is to settle this season's UK Championships; with big thanks to our own Simon for a late night doing sums those 2017 Championships which have already been settled are:
Congratulations all. Congratulations also to Highlanders United who beat the Bloodwise Bombers 4-3 in last night's Charity Football Match in memory of Paula Marshall. In addition a huge amount of money has been raised for Bloodwise, well done all. You can check out a gallery from the match via the Event Index as well as galleries from Friday's All Torque Test Day and yesterday's qualifying. It is a glorious day here at Santa Pod, almost cloudless with a beautiful sunrise. Not at all cold either. The track crew having worked late last night were out early again this morning scraping the track. I believe that ET Bike, having been sent back right at the end yesterday, will have their Q3 first thing this morning; your Pit Marshal will confirm.
