Off the gas but then the car idled down the track heading left, crossed lanes at the eighth and looked to be heading for the left guardrail, got it stopped pointing at the rail. We think shake-induced loss of steering or steering wheel came off in Maja's hands. Bouncy ride for Mick with smoke issuing from the motor, 1.4951 to sixty, 6.4541/104.25 at the eighth, on and off the throttle and a lot of smoke on the stripe and down the shutdown area. Track check ensued and tractor and other clean-up crew called to the top end. Huge shake for Wayne after 1.1116 sixty, pedalled then gave it up. Another great run for Marck and close to a PB. 1.0111 to sixty, minimal shake and certainly an acceptable level, 4.0096/184.96 at the eighth. 1.0236 to sixty for Andy, 1.0473 for Bobby, Andy drove through shake whilst Bobby didn't really look to have any, Bobby with the better eighth 4.0903/178.26 to Andy's 4.1422/179.26. Improvement for Bobby but stayed in place. reat match to end the session! Eurodragster.com sponsors togeher. Marco to sixty in 0.9902, Andy in 0.9966, Marco's 'Vette was swaying left and right but he stayed with it. Andy to the eighth in 3.9320/188.61 to Marco's 4.0685/179.81. No Jon Webster and no Chris Isaacs in this session due to a dropped valve but Spencer Tramm and Chris asked us to say a big Thank You to Jon for his help yesterday after shake broke the wheelie bar on the Duster. Kev Slyfield offered a cylinder head to the Isaacs and Tramm team, for which thanks too, but then the team found rear axle damage. Qualifying after this session:
17:40 Top Fuel Bike qualifying session 3 (left lane first) Al Smith shut off, bye; Steve Woollatt 6.2074/195.46 bye; Rene van den Berg 11.8331/61.62, Neil Midgley 7.5320/121.20 Al shut off for a fluid leak whilst being pushed back from his burnout. another fantastic straight run for Steve! 1.0252 to sixty, 3.9609/186.34 at the eighth, shut off at about 1000 feet so plenty more to come. What I guess was Rene's burnout throttle restrictor was still in place in stage, Rene yanked it and threw it away then hit the gas. 1.0269 to sixty but off the gas before the eighth 5.4053/85.38. Meanwhile Midgo had got to sixty in 1.1026, the eighth in 4.3124/154.51, then a lot of smoke from the motor and off the gas. Track checked and all OK so hopefully nothing serious. Maikel of our streaming service provider Doyousee.me, who is embedded with Rene's team this weekend, got in touch to confirm that the offending item was indeed the burnout throttle stop. 12:50 Funny Bike qualifying session 1 Save of the Day from Dave Buttery, looked like broken chain at about 900 feet then the bike started to head for the guardrail and got into a bad fishtail, I am guessing the chain broke something else which looked to put fluid down. We saw both wheelie bar side panels as Dave went through the traps but he did a great job of getting stopped not far from the emergency exit. Safety crews were to him as he stopped and calmly climbed off the bike. Word came back that his rear wheel had locked.

The plan for today is for the usual real-time reports and results, pit notes courtesy of Simon, and an end-day gallery courtesy of Julian with off-track shots courtesy of Diana Macrae. Tomorrow we will again post real-time reports including Championship updates courtesy of Simon, for which reason there will be no pit notes tomorrow, and an end-day gallery again courtesy of Julian and DD. As well as reporting and running the webcast Your Reporter is also commentating so the reports may not be quite as detailed as usual. As ever I will do my best. Whilst we are waiting for the off you might like to check out the gallery from yesterday's All Torque Test Day, an enjoyable day which was graced with perfect weather. On the subject of the weather it is pvercast here but mild here at Santa Pod, with a gentle left-to-right crosswind. The track looks pretty much ready to go, just the morning spray. The Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be on-line both today and tomorrow broadcasting live video and commentary / Nitro FM audio so long as the track is open. A big Good Morning to the Eurodragsterholics especially Iva Kolberg tuned in from Norway and Kai Plathan and the faithful Otto tuned in from Finland.
