David Smith's motor spluttered and stopped in the burnout and he was pushed back. Chris Creswell up to #2 from #12. Elaine Hancock up from #12 to #5. Richard Medley next up the ladder, #13 to #5. Chris Creswell and Al Medley side by side from #19 to #8 and #14 to #3 respectively. Squeaker -0.0007 RT for Sam Innes in the last run of the session.

Tim moveing around his lane but hanging onto it, 4.0862/187.74 to Tony's 4,3169. Big improvements for both. Qualifying after this session:

08:40 Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the SPRC Summernationals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing. The Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam is all set and will be fired up, at the latest, when the first class is called to the lanes. In contrast to the rest of the week here in England it was grey and very windy for yesterday's All Torque Test Day. One racer told us this morning that they lost a second to the headwind yesterday. Today we have cloud and occasional sun but there is a lot of blue sky in the direction from which the cloud is coming, mild temperature, and a light breeze. You can check out yesterday's gallery via the Event Index. That's former Junior FC racer Harry Gibson in Martyn Jones' Super Pro ET dragster, and Andy Wright's son Andrew in the BA Racing Pro Mod. Both acquitted themselves very well. A big Good Morning to all the Eurodragsterholics especially Kai Plathan and the faithful Otto tuned in from Finland and Ivar Kolberg tuned in from Norway. Thanks to all of the Eurodragsterholics for your support. As you can see we have included a Panda logo in memory of late start line marshal Ben Butler who passed away on Thursday. A top bloke who is much-missed but who will never be forgotten. I have heard so many amusing memories of Ben in the last few hours that we really ought to write them all down and post them. This weekend Your Reporter is commentating as well as reporting and running the webcast so the reports may not be as detailed as usual. I will do my very best of course.
