Tune back for today's gallery in a couple of hours. 17:40 MSA Pro Modified qualifying session 3 (left lane first) Michel Tooren 6.4533/221.45, Marco Maurischat 6.3086/227.79; Bert Englefield 6.2980/228.17, Bobby Wallace 6.2471/222.21; Andy Robinson 6.1593/235.31, Marck Harteveld 12.6319/66.30 Michel to sixty in 0.9750, Eurodragster.com sponsor Marco in 0.9875, Marco driving determinedly through shake as the Vette made moves left and right. Michel's tyres were blackstriping losing him time by the eighth 4.2058/168.97 to Marco's 4.1535/179.56. Marco banged the 1000 foot reflectors bur race officials inspected the lane and judged that he did not cross the centre line so his run stands. Bert to sixty in 1.0328, clear shake marks in his lane, 0.9882 for Bobby whose car was visibly accelerating hard. Bobby with a visible lead at the eighth 4.0567/179.62 to Bert's 4.1349/178.39. Bobby up to #3 and close to PB ET territory. Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy to sixty in 0.9896, Marck in 1.0992 with bad shake, clearly tried to drive through it and control the car then shut off about 150 feet out as the 'Bird moved right. Marck going great guns at the eighth 4.0670/185.80, Michel having shut off 4.4702/123.11. A new PB speed for Marck, well done Marck and team! Numberone spot to boot. Foot launch for Mick, 1.1620 to sixty then the motor zinged at about 300 feet and the blower relief panel blew, both chutes deployed. Clean-up in Mick's lane. Bert to sixty in 0.9844 driving through what looked like bad shake and the Coupe headed left, Bart stayed with it then a brief pedal, a pedal also for Marco lost him time to the eighth 4.4634/161.85 whilst Bert maintained momentum 4.0797/179.62. Bobby to sixty in 1.0224, Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy in 0.9961 then leaving clear shake marks to about 150 feet losing a fraction at the eighth 4.1105/183.94, Bobby ahead at 4.0996/178.32. 0.0062 seconds or 25.24 inches between Bobby and Andy at the stripe. 11:55 MSA Pro Modified qualifying session 1 (left lane first) The Isaacs and Tramm Pro Mod will not be competing this weekend. The team were all here and set up when co-owner, driver and Eurodragster.com sponsor Chris Isaacs and wife Rosie were involved in an accident on the way here. We understand but frankly were not at all surprised to hear that that the accident was the fault of the other party; Chris is OK, Rosie kept in hospital overnight for observation, all of our love goes to her. Eric Monsenego out with engine damage, MSA Championship PR Robin Jackson tells us that Jean Dulamon is out for the season due to the aftermath of a broken rod. Finally Kev Slyfield on an aegrotat having withdrawn after a grandchild-related incident... hopefully something like straining his back picking up the child and not an incident involving a toy at high speed and his crotch. Marck's car started to drift left but he hung on as long as he could, a pedal before half track 4.5088/157.14, Michel right there at 4.5301/177.82. Marck off the gas before 1000 feet and chutes out. 1.1767 to sixty for Mick, 1.3306 for Wayne with motor screaming then a huge cloud of smoke, the car disappeared from here then through the smoke we could just make out a hard left turn and then stopped just short of the guardrail about 500 feet out, maybe Wayne could not see where he was going. 4.5454/157.70 to the eighth for Mick, then looked to shut it off early. Top end safety crew waited for Mick to go through and then moved very quickly to assist as the start line crew also sped to Wayne's assistance. Grace at trackside reports the smell of a burnt transmission, Kirstie also at trackside wonders whether the fire bottles triggered after the motor screamed as there was a long trail of a fluid, which didn't look like oil, behind the car. Word came back later that a transmission seal had failed which explains pretty much everything. Bert to sixty in 1.0286, Marco looked to pedal for shake, no such problems for Bart past the acceptable level, 4.1855/177.00 to Marco's 4.5606/170.11. Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy to sixty in 1.0297, Bobby in 1.0237, Andy pedalled for shake about 100 feet out then the Camaro picked up its skirts and went. 4.2745/183.46 to the eighth for Andy, 4.1916/170.74 for Bobby, Bobby off the gas and chutes out before the stripe. Tagging on to this session was Gary Butters in the Moore brothers' Pro Mod. A very successful mid-seven yesterday, 7.2276/157.43 this morning, slight hesitation in the gears at the eighth and sounded to be rolling off the throttle a little in the second half. 10:55 A short hold-up for weepers at the top end. 09:45 Good morning and welcome to our coverage of the Mopar EuroNationals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing. The Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be on-line broadcasting live video and commentary / Nitro FM audio so long as the track is open. Thanks to Doyousee.me for the provision of streaming services. Overcast but mild here at Santa Pod. We had a fair bit of rain overnight but thanks to the efforts of the track crew we were ready to go at 09:30 and RWYB is underway. The plan today is to bring you reports and results in MSA Pro Modified and JT Construction UK Top Sportsman whose Heads-Up Race qualifying session takes place later. We had hoped to bring you results in Gasser Circus and Nostalgia Super Stock, too, however the Gasser Circus has just run in RWYB rather than a discrete class on the timing system, and NSS are running as a separate class but without a lot of racer names which is going to make things tricky. We will do what we can but no promises. Pro Modified sessions are due at 10:30, 14:00 and 16:00 so stay tuned and we will bring you the news on those sessions in the usual real time.
