Today's MSA Pro Modified test runs

In the order in which they occurred:

Eric Monsenego 8.1506/160.17 bye

Eric short of crew I believe, either way various UK rapscallions on the start line. Looked to be driving through the clutch, 1.3313 to sixty heading left, the car then started fishtailing but Eric stayed with it. 5.3396/140.38 at the eighth right by the centre line, then hit both 1000 foot reflectors.

Marco Maurischat 23.3696/30.55 bye

Instant shake for Eurodragster.com sponsor Marco, 1.1564 to sixty, off the gas and idled along the track. Put one chute out just after the stripe and then rolled to a halt just before the emergency exit.

Jean Dulamon shut off, bye

Jean shut off after the burnout and was pushed back.

Jon Webster shut off, bye

First outing for Eurodragster.com sponsor Jon's new Pro Mod, a very pretty piece of kit it is too. Great burnout, into stage, looked like problems going up on the revs. Reversed past the bleach box and went back to the pits.

Marck Harteveld 11.3426/68.80 bye

1.0272 to sixty wth tyres shaking, hard left towards the centre line and shut off about 150 feet out.

Michel Tooren shut off, bye

First run for Michel after an engine rebuild, having nuked it big time at Tierp Arena in June. Brief couple of stabs for a burnout then shut off before staging, looked like a fuel leak from a line to the blower.

Michel Tooren 9.5297/83.95 bye

Leak fixed. Brief but screaming burnout this time. 1.0682 to sixty, drove through shake, 2.9199 to 330 feet off the gas by that point.

Marco Maurischat 10.8654/77.63 bye

Cylinder out on the right side at the hit cleared within a few feet. 1.0382 to sixty, tried to drive through shake but the front end looked to get light and the car started moving left. Off the gas about 200 feet out and idled through.

Gary Butters followed E1 with a 7.5365/157.98 pass in the Moore brothers' Viper Pro Mod. Not the straightest pass I have ever seen but Gary's first-ever pass in the car and very well-handled. Dave Moore had a go himself this morning and handled the car similarly competently. Great to see Roger's daughter and active crew member Lucy backing Gary up.
