FIM Europe Pro Stock Bike final

Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for our coverage of the FIA / FIM European Finals brought to you in association with John Woolfe Racing.

The plan for today is for the usual real-time reports and results, Simon's pit notes updated throughout the day, and a photo gallery at the end of the day courtesy of Julian, Thaliah Gibb and Diana Macrae.

Again no webcast from us today; the rest of the event is to be broadcast on the Trakbak Racing / Track Group Europe free High-Def, multi-camera Web TV which you can find at www.livestream.com/SantaPod/eurofinals2017. There is also a link on the Event Index. Our the Webster Race Engineering / Nimbus Motorsport webcam will be back at next weekend's NSRA Hot Rod Drags at Shakespeare County Raceway.

It's a nice morning here at Santa Pod. Blue sky, a few high clouds, a gentle breeze across the track. There is some mist around at the end of the track.

I am sure that all of you will agree that the race officials and SPR staff are due a big Thank You for their efforts over the last few days, especially the last couple of days when the weather really did not want us to do anything and made that quite plain. On the visible-to-everyone front the track crew never stopped going up and down the strip and on the visible-to-Your-Reporter front the officials in Race Control were constantly rejigging the running orders and making other arrangements ready for the restart. The SPR staff, the Track Announcers and Nitro FM have had to keep large numbers of people happy in awful weather. I know, because I was here to see some of it, that early mornings and late finishes have been the order of the day since before the event started. Whilst others get drunk and moan, they get going and do stuff. So Well Done and Thank You everyone.

The traditional Raceday Good Morning to our US Correspondent Kathy Hileman who is tuned in from Essex, NH. So the evil Yankees fulfil the Stoke City rôle for you then Kathy. A big Good Morning also to all of the Eurodragsterholics, particularly Kai Plathan and Otto who are tuned in from Finland, and Ivar Kolberg tuned in from Norway, but to all of you a big Thank You for your support.

We should have today's running order for you very shortly - again the product of race officials staying up late and getting up early - so stay tuned and once it's available we will let you know.
