The appropriate button was pushed on the timing system console but zippo. No choice but to shut it off. That's all the on-track action for today, but stay tuned as Simon has more pit notes for you and Julian has just brought up two very full memory cards so we'll be starting work on the gallery in a moment or two. 19:20 Sportsman ET eliminations round 1 First competitive event for Adam Charnley and wins his first round of eliminations. Adam got in touch to confirm that he is indeed enjoying himself so much that he doesn't care about breaking out, although he chose the right moment to stop doing it.

Went great guns then the Chevy started to move left, John off the gas and chutes out, meanwhile in the other lane Joe Kellett broke out so we will be seeing the brave John and his hard-working crew again tomorrow. Nick Good Motorsport match-up between Brad Jackson and reigning National Champion Chris Parker; Brad's team changed his dial-in just before he staged and the gamble paid off. Gearhead Garage UK Super Pro ET qualifying session 4 Final qualifying session, eliminations commence later together with Modurstang Pro ET and Lucas Oil Junior Dragster. In the last session the lead was changing hands quicker than Pass the Parcel in Baghdad so let's see what happens here. Ron Bartlett up from #13 to #10 first pair, breakout for Jens Könnecke... yes you read that right the first pair did not involve John Atkinson. John was second pair and clocked an impressive 0.0025 RT, 8.8077 on 8.82 dial-in. Three pairs, three Autoglym lane breakouts. Four pairs, four Autoglym lane breakouts. Great to see Dave Evans make it with the Doomsday Impala, always a favourite of our late colleague Ed. 7.97 dial-in, shut off early and something came off the car. In the other lane reigning UK National Champion Chris Parker up from #9 to #1 +0.0038 on dial-in and close to the Eurodragster.com Perfect ET Award supporting Bloodwise. John przybyl up from #22 to #17 next pair. John Gerritsen next up with a 6.65 dial-in, up against multiple Super class Champion Brian Pateman. Everyone wanted John to do it... all going well to begin with, then the Bel Air made a move to the right at 1000 feet and John with great presence of mind put the chutes out and pulled it away from the guardrail. Looked to be in a fight with the car as it headed to the right again, 7.0640/150.62 at the stripe but looked to tag the right guardrail in the shutdown area, then headed almost ninety degrees left in front of Brian Pateman who looked to have seen what was happening and was on the brakes. John managed to keep the Chevy off the left guardrail and calmly steered it off the end of the track chased by safety crews who, as ever, moved very quickly indeed. On the restart identical -0.0112 reds for Simon Gough and Barry Giles, no changes in position. Next pair and Al Didwell and Billy Everitt moved side by side up the ladder, #18 to #14 and #21 to #19 respectively.

12:30 Comp Bike qualifying session 3 Phil Leamon on to the bump spot in the first pair. Paul Hambidge up from #3 to #2 two pairs later. next pair and Martin Walker moved up from #10 to #5. Next run and Dave Batcheler executed a fag paper job in the centre line. Tony Clark next, fired up but didn't make it to the burnout. Bobby Frazier next up. Nice burnout but then shut off and pushed back. Problem solved Tony came back for another go. Tyre shake and then I swear that both wheels jumped off the track and made a big move left, very close to the eighth reflectors to shouts from the timing crew.

Excellent run for Dave Peters put him #2, right lane blues hit Thomas Joswig as his motor cut out at the hit. Puff of smoke from Dave's motor right on the stripe, track checked and clean-up called for a trail of oil in the shutdown area. On the restart a great run for Eric Richard but had to feather it in the second half as the bike went for the centre line.

Pro Stock Bike qualifying session 3 Great launch for Alex Hope, 1.1160 to sixty, but then the bike started to drift left, from here it was almost as if a "Thinks" bubble came on over Alex's head as I could clearly see the moment when he made the clever decision to let the bike go where it wanted rather than get into a fight with it. Hit the 594 foot reflector to shouts from the timing crew. Gear selection problem for Len Paget, a big groan from the motor.

Natalie Wood up from #5 to #3 next pair. Great save for Phil Norman after the Beetle pick-up made a hard move left and then right just after the eighth. Jose back with the neck brace and up to #1 at +0.0179. Carl Goldsmith pushed back before staging next pair.

before staging for a fluid leak. Andy Wright looked to have problems starting, only moving as Kev went forward
to burn out, held until Kev had run. Instant shake and spin at the hit for Kev, 1.2461 to sixty, a couple of
pedals then off the gas before 330 feet. Andy rolled the beams very slightly then spin and a right turn at the hit.
Off the gas then a squirt to make the stripe. Great burnouts by Bobby and Rick. 1.1684 to sixty for Bobby and 1.0556
for Rick, shake for both and a pedal for both. Bobby back on it, Rick briefly but then shut i off. 4.8732/158.82
to the eighth for Bobby, Willys was moving about its lane in the second half. Jean shut off before staging for a
fluid leak 1.0515 to sixty for Eurodragster.com sponsor Andy, shake then spin and the motor screamed, Camaro turned
hard left. Andy off the gas and pulled it straight, close to the guardrail about 400 feet out.

10:45 Comp Eliminator qualifying session 2 Problems for Andy Hone, motor hesitated big time all the way down the track and didn't want to stay lit by the sound of it.
Timing system timed out on him.
Next up is today's first Pro session which is scheduled for 11:00.
10:40 Super Gas qualifying session 3 Tim Adam up from #5 to #2 first pair. Next pair and a great burnout by Tim Moore. Big moves for Mark White firstly
right and left in the first half, then left and right in the second half. In the other lane Collin Morrice has the
Camaro sorted, up from #9 to #3. That lasted one run as Stu Doignie took #3 on his bye. And that lasted one run as
Jon Giles moved up from #10 to #3 with the last run of the session.
10:35 Topspeed Automotive Street Eliminator qualifying session 3 Stuart Williams sent back after the burnout in the first pair. Alex McIntosh took the bye, tyres spun at
the hit. Same story for Mark Tood, spin just off the line, in the otherlane Nigel Hale into the tens even
with spin and a brief pedal. Spin for Nick Hale too, brief pedal and back on it.

plate around his neck, looked perfectly competent from here so the plate can come off I'd say. In the other lane
a fantastic run for Barry Giles, 0.0080 RT and +0.0074 against dial-in and into #1 spot. Three #1 qualifiers in
three pairs! John Gerritsen on a stormer but off the gas as the Chevy started to make big moves at the eighth,
still clocked 7.1745, took out the quarter mile reflector. Next pair and Ron Bartlett had no reverse, pushed
back and waited whilst Austin Jaques took a bye. Then 9.0114 on 8.80 for Ron, good for a move up from #16 to
#12. Great run for Jens Könnecke, +0.0059 on dial-in and closer still to the Eurodragster.com Perfect ET

lane Peter Wise who licenced yesterday moved up from #19 to #5 +0.0531. Lee Huxley up from #4 to #2 +0.0075,

The plan for today is again the usual real-time reports and results of the on-track action together with Simon's pit
notes updated throughout the day and a gallery of Julian's shots at the end of the day. As things stand there will be no
webcast this weekend. Keyboard warriors please note: if there is "A joke" then it is that the behaviour we had from you
yesterday was that of a five-year-old and that five years old was the age by which the rest of us had learned to read.
High cloud and a lot of blue sky this morning, and a right-to-left crosswind. It rained at the end of the day yesterday
and the track is a little damp right now, but the track crew are out there doing what they do best and the racing surface
is visibly drying.
A big Good Morning to all the Eurodragsterholics with a particular wave to Kai Plathan and Otto in Vehkataipale, Finland,
and of course to our #1 coverage fan Ivar Kolberg in Norway.
