12:05 Nostalgia Fuel Challenge Cup eliminations round 1 Tim shut off soon after firing up, towed back to the pits. Hard left turn at 1000 feet for Wendy, kept a hold of it but then a huge cloud of smoke from the motor in the shutdown area. Clean-up ensued. Next pair and Nick Davies was shut off for a fluid leak, Adam Gleadow then shut off, no fluid but a lot of smoke from the left bank. Wendy Baker 6.7813/196.41 bye, Tim Garlick shut off Eurodragster.com sponsor Pete Walters followed with a 6.3828/162.47 half pass in Dave Wilson's A/Fuel Dragster. 3.8800/203.28 at the eighth. 11:15 MSA Pro Modified eliminations round 1 Bye for Eurodragster.com sponsor Chris; Wayne Nicholson with minor damage decided not to risk it. However Chris was shut off for a fluid leak. Next pair and Roger Moore was shut off for a fluid leak, Bobby Wallace took the bye running close to PB especially for speed. Fantastic race between Rick and Bert, new PBs for Rick and new PB speed for Bert, well done both! Big cloud of smoke from Bert's motor in the shutdown area, shutdown area checked and OK, minor clean-up in the first fifty feet or so.
