The rain has returned so Race Director Robin Shone has called a halt. We came very close twice and but for the unceasing efforts of the track crew we would not have got even this far.

Thanks very much for staying with us for the last week and a half. Our next planned coverage is the Peak Performance Day and SPRC Summernationals at the end of June.

Good morning and welcome to our coverage of FIA / FIM European Championships Round 1 brought to you in association with Alamo Rent-A-Car.

This weekend's webcast is provided by Santa Pod Raceway, and continues to be free. There is a link on the Event Index page or go to www.santapod.co.uk/webtv.php. If you should have any queries or comments including praise regarding the webcam at this event then please address them to Santa Pod Raceway.

Overcast but dry here at Santa Pod. The track crew, having scraped the left lane in the dark last night, are currently scraping the right lane. I do wonder if these guys ever go home, because they start before we do and they usually work just as late as we do, and I also wonder where they get their energy.

The traditional Raceday Good Morning to our US Correspondents Ed O'Connell and Kathy Hileman who are tuned in from Rye, NH. Hope you are doing OK guys. A big Hello also to the ever-growing band of Eurodragsterholics.

We are due to start at 9:00 with the presentation to number one qualifiers. Racing itself is due to start at 09:30; we should have today's official running order shortly. Stay tuned and as soon as the first pair fire up we'll start to bring you the news.
