18:15 Topspeed Automotive Street Eliminator qualifying after session 6 Fantastic run for Richard Billings, the 7.641 a new record backed up by the earlier pass, the speed too fast for a new record but this backs up his earlier pass of 194.62 and it's the first 200 mph run in Street Eliminator competition - it has been done in testing of course. Great pass also for Ian Hook, chute out a touch early again so I would say more to come there. Slight improvement for Eurodragster.com sponsor Jon Webster, good for one place on the ladder.

18:00 Super Pro ET qualifying after session 6 Martyn Jones up from #41 to #24 in the second pair, shut it off very early and went right side. Syd's 6.048 probably the quickest-ever valid Super Pro ET qualifying time certainly on this side of the Pond! Big move for Nick Good, from #27 up to #10 in another blown-alcohol dragster. Roy Wilding off today's bump and up to #22 in mid-session. Fantastic pass for Bob Hawkins, up from #37 to #1 and 0.003 off the Eurodragster.com/Gold RV Perfect ET Award. Chris Orthodoxou moved from the bump to #29 in the last pass of the session. If you want to be in this field right now you need to be at the most +0.081 off dial-in.

Next pair and a huge cloud of steam from Jon Turner's 'Cuda right on the finish line. Luckily the car didn't appear sideways out of the fog as sometimes happen. Word came from the top end that we had oil and a short clean-up ensued. Keith Herbert up to #5 from #7 three pairs after the restart. Another PB for Rich Eacock up from #24 to #16. Mike Bruckmüller, nominally outside the field at #33 although obviously there is a lot of qualifying left, moved up to #24 next pair. Two pairs later and Marc Henney moved up from #9 to #2, +0.004 on dial-in. fantastic pass for Thomias Haas in the Valiant, up from #21 to #3, +0.006 on dial-in. Russ Fellows getting close to dial-in with his Beetle, 9.080 on an 8.99. Big breakout for Ian Turburville, 8.4554/158.48 on an 8.70 dial-in, new PB. Well done Turbo! Dave Catton up from #23 to #10 against what sounded like an ailing Talbot Racing dragster and a very off-form ten-second pass for Pat. Next pair and Adam Gleadow was going great runs in his altered but then smoke from his motor, shut off and chutes out and a short oil clean-up.

14:55 Super Pro ET qualifying after session 4 Roy Walker up from #20 to #12 in the second pair. Great run for Ian Hanson, up from #36 to #10 for the Supercharged Outlaws racer in mid-session. Ian's 7.312 close to a PB I would have thought, if so then well done Ian! Another big move for Maurice van der Laan, up from #21 to #12. John Gerritsen went right side and moved up from #41 to #32. Another fantastic run for Paula Atkin, hung onto the Mustang although it was moving all over its lane and went up from #17 to #7.

The Webster Race Engineering/Nimbus Motorsport webcam and will be broadcasting video and audio as long as the track is open. Our good buddies from Doyousee.me, to whom thanks for streaming facilities, are running the webcam for us this weekend which means a second camera and maybe a surprise or two. If I was a cheap tabloid journalist I would say "Coo, what a scorcher!" or something similarly vacuous but it can't be denied that it's a beautiful day here. Lots of sun and only thin, high cloud. As our weather station is currently out of commission I can't give you the full SP but there's not much reason to believe that anything has changed since yesterday when according to the racers to whom we spoke the air was very good. We have had an unusually large amount of feedback about the gallery from yesterday's Pro Racer Test Day, all of it very complimentary, so thanks for that; very gratifying since Your Reporter was on snapping duties yesterday. A couple of readers very reasonably asked what happened to yesterday's end-day report and the answer is that we put mouse-over captions on the gallery otherwise we would have been here all night. So if you want to know how your favourite racer did yesterday then put your mouse pointer over their first picture in the gallery.
