15:50 Sportsman ET eliminations round 2 Drama for Dave Cherrett as the left rear wheel came off his Model A van at the hit. The van stopped pretty much instantly and Dave is quite OK. Looks like a halfshaft failure as the wheel was still bolted on to what was left of the shaft. Almost unnoticed in the other lane Nicole Parker came close to the Eurodragster.com/ModUrStang Perfect Light Award with a 0.007 RT.

Wild ride for Gerry Treit as his tyres started to spin and then the Willys turned hard right. Looked from here like heavy braking with front tyres smoking and then Gerry pulled it back into his lane.
