That's cycle two done, on to cycle three. 12:15 Comp Eliminator qualifying after session 2 Save of the Year for John Sleath as his Audi turned hard left at 330 feet, John got off the throttle and pulled it straight - he went through the eighth at 99.07 mph so I dread to think what speed John was going when the car uncorked on him. Almost the same happened for John Bradshaw, the car turning hard right at about 1200 feet, some smoke but the track was checked and found to be OK.

Some frightful news from the pits this morning, namely that Pro Mod racer Marc Meihuizen rodded his block on yesterday's 6.09 pass and is out for the weekend. Also in Pro Mod news, courtesy of Rob Geiger we learn that the R2B2 Camaro due to be driven by Melanie Troxel is due to arrive at the track this evening and tuner Al Billes estimates that the team will need two hours to get the car ready.
