Vennu Tukianen followed the Junior Dragster qualifying session with an 8.421/79.38 in the Junior Funny Car. 16:53 Super Street qualifying after session 6: Dave Cherrett into #1 spot in the first pair, getting close to the Eurodragster.com/Gold RV Perfect ET Award of £75. Two pairs later Leigh Morris moved into #2 spot.

16:50 B&H Automotive/LA Racing Parts Street Eliminator qualifying after session 6: John Sleath back into #1 spot in the first pair of the session. It lasted a couple of pairings as Colin Lazenby took the #1 spot back with a storming run which if he backs it up will be an ET record under this year's rules.

16:40 Super Pro ET qualifying after session 6: John Morris up from #14 to #5 in the first pairing, in the other lane a great 8.4118 for Mark Bishop in his newly-repaired altered. Two pairs later Dave Catton moved from #4 to #2. #12 to #8 for Barry Giles two pairings on, followed up the ladder by Jack Brewster who went from #10 to #3 next pair. Vince Gibbs up from #23 to #14 in the last run of the session with another six.

16:30 Pro ET qualifying after session 6: A wild ride for Dave Nelson in his slingshot, getting very close to the guardrail and making hard moves left and right. Dave held on to it and got into the ladder at #31. #37 to #31 for Joe Williams two pairs later. 8.787 on a 9.00 dial-in for Phil Toppin, we think a PB, well done Phil - Super Pro ET next year then? Kim Bishop into the ladder, #35 to #32, at that point you had to be +0.1037 on dial-in to be in the top 32 and there were more cars to come yet. Next pair and KIm's brother Chris moved from #27 to #10. Up from #24 to #5 for Mark Bailey in the next pair, boy is this field closing up. Side-by-side improvements for Antony Wilkins and Bob Molden, Antony up from #40 to #28 and Bob from #18 to #6, 0.1006 to get into the ladder at that point. Marius Blackburn up from #3 to #2 two pairs later.

15:40 Super Pro ET qualifying after session 5: Great first full pass for John Bradshaw in the Project Zed Nissan, 8.0233/169.79, far from straight so plenty left in there. Next pass and Eurodragster.com sponsor Peter Walters made a big move from #20 to #5. Well, he was #5 for about a minute because Steve Johnson went from #20 to #5 next pairing.

15:35 Thomas Nataas looked pretty much at home in the Andersens' Top Fuel Dragster. Superb 0.0433 reaction, 0.8703 to sixty feet, shake from about 90 feet, off the throttle at 250 feet, 8.1774/89.26 at the stripe. 15:30 Pro ET qualifying after session 5: Rick Denny up from #16 to #4 in the first pairing. Hans van der Spek next up the ladder, from #42 to #27 in the next pairing. Next pair and Phil Sweeney moved from #36 to #10. Billy Gane moved up from #31 to #23 a few pairings later. Eddy van den Bos was next into the ladder, #42 to #17 then in the next pair another new best for Rick McCann, 9.9703 on a 10.01 dial-in, breakout but the first nine for HHAW - well done Rick! Eurodragster.com sponsor Pete Yates moved into the ladder, #42 to #14. At that point you had to be +0.1094 on dial-in to be in the 32-car ladder and we're nowhere near finished yet! 0.0057 RT for Mark Bailey a couple of pairings later. #21 to #10 for Steve Hudson two pairings after that. 0.0049 RT for Lee Huxley in the next pair. 0.1094 to race on Saturday, it just gets better and better.

14:35 Super Gas qualifying after session 4: An improvement for Steve Dunn but he stayed in #2 spot at that point. Stuart Morrice moved from #11 to #3 next pair. Two pairs later and Aidan Kenny moved up from #7 to #5.

14:25 Super Pro ET qualifying after session 4: Great pair between Bob Doyle and Dave Townsend, into #1 and #2 spot respectively to open the session. Rob Smallworth has got past his nitrous burps, 7.6905 on an 8.00 dial-in, breakout but who cares when it means that Rob is back on form! Nice move for Steve Taylor, #17 to #8, in the other lane a nice wheelstand and another six for Nick Good. Rick Cooke took over the #1 spot in the last run of the session.

14:15 Pro ET qualifying after session 4: Big move for Phil Toppin in the second pair, up from #21 to #5. Jon Turner safely into the ladder next pair, #40 to #24. Charlie Chivers up from #16 to #6 next pair. Next racer into the ladder was Tig Napier, #39 to #5 in one fell swoop and he's got to be getting close to a PB. Big breakout for Antony Wilkins, 10.5625 on an 11.30 dial-in, maybe a best for the Morris, if so then well done Antony! Lee Huxley up from #34 to #22 and safely into the ladder a couple of pairs later. Next into the ladder was Andrew Gibb, #39 to #30, in the next pair. Keith Herbert up into #7 two pairs later. To race in Pro ET at all on Saturday you now have to run within 0.1426 of your dial-in to be in the 32-car field, how's that after only four sessions!

13:20 Super Pro ET qualifying after session 3: Great start for Dave Catton, 0.0017 RT and into #1 spot in the first pair of the session. Next pair and Rick Cooke moved up from #22 to #4, and Pete Walters got a time on the board so thankfully no damage from the last run. An improvement for John Atkinson in the next pair but he stayed in #2 spot at that point. Next pair and Rod Harrison moved up from #24 to #5. Great to see Bob Doyle back into the eights, 8.8792 on an 8.95 dial-in, breakout but the team were delighted and that's a part of his anatomy which Spencer Tramm should be inspecting. Leo van der Kuil up from #22 to #8 in the final pair, that has to be one of the best-looking race cars in the whole of Europe.

13:05 Pro ET qualifying after session 3: Identical 0.0740 RTs for Rick Denny and Roy Walker in the first pair, no changes in standings. Mark Richardson up from #12 to #7 next pair, Mick Howling followed him up the ladder with a move from #31 to #12 in the next pairing. Big move for Pel Norman from #34 to #9 in the next pairing, followed by Liz Malcolm next pair, up from #35 to #7. Three pairs later and Marius Blackburn moved from #38 to #5. Big breakout for Gino Bernadine, 9.1109, quickest run I can remember seeing from him so maybe a PB, well done Gino! Charlie Chivers up from #38 to #14 next pair. After that pair, everyone in the top 32 was finally right side - it has been National Breakout Day today. Next pair and Keith Herbert moved up from the bump to #8 spot. The top sixteen at that point were separated by 0.0442, it really is starting to close up. That then changed to 0.0350 as Steve Hudson moved from #32 to #16. Joe Stevens rounded off the session moving up from #31 to #23.

12:00 Super Pro ET qualifying after session 2: Problems for Eurodragster.com News sponsor Pete Walters on his first run of the day, motor sounded to be misfiring in the burnout then off the throttle past the Tree and pulled over. Next pair and Steve Saunders edged into the field turning off the track, word from the top end is that all is OK, Steve #3 at that point. Steve Taylor up from #13 to #5 a couple of pairs later, in the other lane Nick Good in at #2 with his first run of the day and back into the sixes. Next pair and Barry Giles moved up from #15 to #3. Jack Brewster next to make a move, #14 to #9, in the other lane Nigel Payne dialled in 7.36 but backed off early and moved a couple of places up the ladder as he didn't break out this time. Next pair and Vince Gibbs threw the blower belt and what was hopefully a blower relief panel rather than part of the bonnet. New PB for Tim Mugridge next pair, well done Tim! In the other lane Ashley Bell moved up from #12 to #4. Big move for John Morris next pair, #21 to #6. John Everitt up into #2 spot in the last pair of the session.

Not a good start to the weekend for Werner Zudrell as he came all the way from Austria to drop the propshaft on the track about ten feet out. Werner's body language when he got out of the car was quite something, understandably I guess.

10:10 Super Pro ET qualifying after session 1: Good to see Mark Bishop back after the wheelie at Easter which damaged the chassis. Mark shut off early and looked to have his hands full as the front wheels were shaking very badly. With so many breakouts today it was no surprise to see Vince Gibbs into the sixes with the Firebird, well done Ray, Vince and the guys! We think a new PB too for Rod Harrison, well done Rod! Next up with a PB was Super Modified racer Nigel Payne, well done Nigel! Karl Harrison's motor stopped dead a few feet off the line, hopefully that was just an electrical problem rather than a rod breaking. Great RT for John Everitt but the car unusually moving about its lane so John shut off early.
