Tremendous race for Dave and Nick, with Nick fighting the car all the way down the track and not getting out of it for anything. A new PB for Dave as well, well done Dave! Joe Bond was towed back to the pits. Another tremendous race for Dennis and Clayton. Next we had the two nitro burning machines Chaos and The Mob. Jim was shut off after a great burnout and John had a strong launch, a 1.0203 and 4.1078/167.26 at 60 ft and half track and then lifted off after the car drifted towards the left wall.

Martin Hill then ran a great 6.2009/255.96.

Straight launch for Wayne, 1.1663 to 60ft but off the throttle later in the run. Bert ran straight and hard launch 1.0490, but Kev was up in smoke and on another all over his lane pass. Graham's car running a spare blower made a big move at 330ft and Andy had huge tyre shake in an exciting pairing. Ian Bishop is reported as having piston damage and so we won't be seeing him on track.

Another strong run for Ian (1.0994 and 4.5270/154.11 incrementals) but a puff of smoke at the end. Then Andy Robinson's burst plate went bang on the burnout and the Studebaker was pushed to the side. Bert took a hard turn left at 60ft and he got off the throttle. Kev Slyfield went up in smoke just off the line and then lifted. No changes to the standings.

Dave Grabham headed for the concrete and Clayton Round went straight with a 1.0495 60 ft time.Tremendous burnouts for Dennis Wratten and Nick Davies, a new European Alky Altered best, class record and PB for Dennis, well done Dennis! The incrementals for that were 0.9992, and 4.218/168.41 at the eighth. Joe Bond then came out for a gentle pass with new parts on the car and suffered huge tyre shake after a 1.1725 60ft time.

Martin Hill then ran a fine 6.0694/268.12.

Roger Moore was running an observed run for a scheduled half pass; the tyres didn't light on the burnout but the car ran straight and true to a nice Maltese half pass, 1.1907 to 60ft 7.9318/169.81. Kev Slyfield went up in smoke to his first 200mph pass, 10mph up his previous best, well done Kev! Wayne Nicholson's engine sounded laboured. In the next pairing, Andy Robinson had some tyre shake and 1.0068, 4.0155/183.21 and a puff of smoke at the end on a tremendous pass, well done Andy! Bert had directional issues but kept with it until after the eighth. Lastly, a tremendous race and a new PB for Ian with 1.0922, 4.5032/160.09 to half track. Graham Ellis ran 1.0999 to 60 ft, 4.5738/156.21 to half track.

Steve Carey broke at 100ft out after a 1.1594 60ft and a cylinder went away, Steve Woollatt, after a 1.1618 60ft, got off the throttle at half track with an eighth mile time of 4.3931/153.98. Ian King's bike is resplendent in a new paint job and ran a 1.1029 60 ft, 4.1533/186.21 660ft, a superb straight-as-you-like new PB, well done Ian! Rene van den Berg went for a bit of a wander and he feathered the throttle.

The Webster Race Engineering/MPM Oil webcam is on-line and will post a picture every sixty seconds until the track closes.

The weather is mainly sunny with just a few high clouds. Qualifying begins imminently and there are two complete cycles planned with a third cycle for Pro classes and bikes.
