There is no sign of the rain stopping so Race Director Darren Prentice has called a halt for today. If the rain stopped now, which it isn't doing, then it would be two and a half hours before the track dried and the air would still be damp.

Today's conditions make things a bit difficult coverage-wise. Obviously Roger had nothing to photograph; Simon has been out in the pits once and is currently typing up his notes so stay tuned for those.

The rain has slowed right down and it has cleared up some - we can see the treeline through the gap at the far end of the track. Stay tuned.

Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway for day one of our coverage of the FIA European Finals presented in association with American Car Imports.

The Webster Race Engineering/MPM Oil webcam is on-line and is set to post a picture every sixty seconds. In fact the webcam will now stay on-line twenty four hours a day until the track closes on Sunday evening.

Right now we are on hold for rain which came in overnight. Not a lot is happening on track save the tractor and sweepers making laps. But we'll shortly be sending Simon out into the pits to see who has surfaced, and as soon as the conditions change here we will let you know. Stay tuned.
