20:00

We have now posted a gallery of shots from today, a lot of which show just how bad things got here this morning. When you look at these shots please bear in mind that yet again the track crew worked their hearts out to lay the base for racing tomorrow - had they left the track how it was first thing this morning then it would have frozen solid overnight tonight and there would have been no chance tomorrow.

Tomorrow's weather forecast is dry, bright and cold. Despite rumours to the contrary - how do these things get started? - eliminations are planned tomorrow. The bike classes will get a one-shot qualifier in the morning as, due to the crosswind on Friday, they have not been out on track at all.

Apologies for not explaining earlier that there were no pit notes today as Simon had a family commitment. Simon will be back tomorrow and normal service will be resumed.

Tune back in the morning and we'll bring you all the news from eliminations.

10:30

The Race Director has called a halt for today. Even if the snow stopped and even if the track could be dried, it would be too cold to race safely.

We are off around the pits to get some photographs of snow silliness so come back in few hours and we'll have those for you.

8:15

Good morning and Happy Easter from Santa Pod Raceway. It's day three of the Auto Trader Easter Thunderball and we're here to bring you all the news in association with American Car Imports.

The Webster Race Engineering/MPM Oil webcam is on-line and will be broadcasting a picture every sixty seconds until the track closes on Monday. You can reach the webcam via the Event Index.

You've probably looked at the webcam so we're not going to BS you. The track is currently under a couple of inches of snow. What is also true, though, is that the forecast is for this to stop by 10:00 and for there to be a weather window into the late afternoon, and tomorrow looks good all day. Trackside conditions right now are 1.1 C, 98% humidity, and 985 mB of air.

A big Hello to Nev and Libby Mottershead who are tuned in from Stockport. Libby recognised your reporter on the webcam which pretty much proves how good the new webcam is. On that subject thanks for everyone's patience with the over-exposure problem on those occasions when the sun has been out. We have one or two solutions but whether we'll be able to apply them this weekend is another matter.

We're going to have some breakfast, stay tuned and when things improve then we'll be back with the news.
