Good morning and welcome from Santa Pod Raceway. It's the first round of the FIA and FIM/UEM European Championships and the third round of the UK National Championships and we're here to bring you all the news in association with American Car Imports.

The Webster Race Engineering/MPM Oil webcam is on-line and will be broadcasting a picture every sixty seconds twenty four hours a day until the track closes on Monday evening.

It's a pleasant day here at Santa Pod, the morning dawned cloudless but it has clouded over a little now, still plenty of sun breaking through though which is probably better for the track than raw sunshine. The weather station says that trackside conditions right now are 68.7 F, 63% humidity and 29.47 inches of air. Track temperature on the start line right where the rear slicks of a Top Fueller would be in stage is 79.0 F.

A couple of Good Mornings before we get going, firstly a big Hello to all of the pupils at Denfield Park Jumior school in Rushden. Jeanette Webster tells us that the cars and bikes are audible from the school and that all the kids are coming up to Santa Pod at the weekend. Have a good day guys, pay attention to your lessons, and we'll see you over the weekend. Next up is a big Hello to Kenneth Hellén who has hopefully recovered from falling off his chair laughing at one of the captions on Wednesday's Around The Track gallery. Hello and a big Happy Birthday to Laura Turburville, twelve years old today, have a great day Laura. Hello also to Claire Meaddows who is stuck in the office on her day job today, Claire tells us that she will be sneaking a look at the coverage when she can. Don't get yourself fired, Claire. And of course a big Hello to everyone who is tuned in from the office today, we'll get the news to you as quickly as we can.

Qualifying starts at 9:15 with Pro ET, stay tuned and as soon as the wheels start turning we'll bring you the numbers.
