Good morning and welcome to day 1 of our coverage of the FIA/FIM-E Tierp Internationals from Tierp Arena. It's a warm morning with no cloud in the sky and temperature already 19C forecast to rise to 28C and wind 7mph from the east. The air density is 1000ft forecast to rise to 2000ft by 2pm, less than ideal for quick times but we're sure the teams will do all they can to compensate.

Today's plan is for four sessions of Sportsman qualifying and two of Top Doorslammer. You can see the running order via our event index, thanks to Marie Selander from Race Control for supplying them. Thanks also to Björn Sjöberg for ensuring we are patched into the timing system.

We will publish the #1 qualifiers and significant times and movement in the qualifying order, and plan to publish results courtesy of Timetree.se who provide the event timing.

We were hugely saddened to learn of the passing of SFI founder Arnie Kuhns who instigated the SFI tour 20 years ago, and Steve Moxley, colleague and photojournalist. We'd like to dedicate our coverage of three events this weekend to Arnie and Steve. There is a tribute to Arnie in today's update and we will be publishing our memories of Steve next week on our return to the UK. Please send any tributes to either to tributes@eurodragster.com and we will include them.
