FIA Pro Modified qualifying session 4

Peter Kunc 9.5930/193.34 v Micke Johansson 7.0395/273.83, neither in the ladder for tomorrow's eliminations and moving around the track in their attempt to qualify. Jere Rantaniemi 7.0415/284.66 v Jesper Stenberg 43.1692/18.04 coasted through.

Andreas Sjödin 17.2145/98.52, spun tyres on launch. Jimmy Alund 6.3514/344.17 1.1093 60ft v Andreas Arthursson 5.9244/363.39, 0.9844 to 60ft and 3.8958/317.09 to half track, cloud of smoke at the end but Andreas slowed it fine. Patrik Wikström now on the outside looking in.

Marcus Perman, now on the bump spot, 7.7598/201.49 lifted after 330ft v Olof Andersson 17.1562/47.77. Michel Tooren 6.0099/392.16 improvement (1.0528 and 3.9823/310.7) v Bruno Bader 8.1199/185.82.

Fredrik Fagerström 6.2474/362.42, impressively straight, v Marck Harteveld 11.7045/88.76, lost traction at 300ft and lifted. Stian Rusånes 8.5167/174.87 with a pedal v Åke Persson NTR, the closest we have ever seen to a race car pirouette as Åke got into a wiggle just after 330ft, crossed lanes and back, then spun around 360 degrees a couple of times in the centre of the track coming to a halt at 1000ft. If there weren't fluids spilt it said a lot about the racing surface in the cold damp air and Roger Johansson decided to return to the pits without running. On hold once again for light rain.

In view of the dampness in the atmosphere the rest of today's action has been cancelled and above runs annulled. Thanks for looking in, come back later for our galleries from Kieran and Lena:

Next a pair of classics, Lars-Georg Johansson's '34 Ford 8.4379/157.85 and Stefan Winter's gull wing Mercedes,7.8595/282.28, neither improvements but hugely entertaining, Lars-Georg holding onto it with a major wiggle and chute out early to calm it down.

Another break for clean-up in Lars-Georg's lane and to secure a broken window in the tower (not your reporter's but he wondered why everyone was looking up in that direction)

Lars Berglund up one spot to #8, Fredrik Gravningen's truck burned out to half track and reversed rapidly against Billy Gane, new PB 7.6154/288.31, well done Billy, to move him up from #7 to #4, as Fredrik failed to improve. Good morning and welcome to day 3 of our coverage of the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals from Tierp Arena. The weather is dry with cloud and temperature of 15C forecast to rise to 21C and wind 11mph from the south. Atmospheric conditions are density altitude currently 420ft and rising through the afternoon to 1800ft. Water grains are a high 60 rising to 85 in late afternoon, so less oxygen than yesterday.

Yesterday had a number of incidents and we wish speedy recoveries to all those who suffered damage. In particular, Neil Midgley was in hospital overnight and we send our best wishes. We also commiserate to those who suffered contact with the wall, we hope Johnny Oksa and Sandro Bellio's cars are repairable to enable them to continue.

Today's packed plan which you can see via our event index includes the final round of sportsman qualifying and first round of eliminations for them, plus two qualifying rounds for FIA and FIM-E classes. We will be starting very shortly.

Thanks to all those who were kind enough to get in touch with messages and comments on our coverage, all are very much appreciated. Mike Kraaij has been looking up PBs in FIA and FIM-E classes, also thanks to others who have commented.
