Final is Jndia v Ida with the lane choice going to Ida. Jndia's incrementals 0.868 and 3.272/405.26, green flames out of the engine early on an indication that a head gasket was getting burned.

After the burnout, Silvio suffered a repeat of the shut-off that had plagued him on his runs at Tierp, the burst panel going and chute coming out deployed by the Electromotive system. Johnny shut off as Silvio's car was stranded on track. Silvio had earlier reported a lifted blower in Q2 which took out the belt. Johnny refired and ran a great pass, 0.963 and 3.695/332.66 incrementals and lane choice against Linn

Mogens suffered engine damage including a burnt head in yesterday's run and unable to repair in time. Bruno 0.975 and 4.490/191.74, aggresive launch but then went towards the left wall and lifted.

Good morning and welcome to day three of our coverage from the 38th NitrOlympX from the Hockenheimring, Germany. It's a dry morning with clouds covering the sky and temperature of 17C rising to 21C. Wind again is negligible, 9mph from the south west. Density altitude is 1300-1700ft with 77 grains of water.

We have a birthday on the team today, many happy returns to photographer Julian who will be spending his special day taking pictures from trackside, as he has for the previous two days. If you see Julian there or in the lanes, do greet him!

We concluded qualifying yesterday and will go into eliminations this morning. The running order is now available via the event index, and we start with Pro ET and Super Pro ET. You can see the ladders by going to this link. Commiserations go to a couple of UK racers who won't be taking part, Colin Millar broke out in both his qualifying attempts and is not in the ladder, also Wendy Baker couldn't find a replacement mag for the one that failed her and will return to the UK not having run the car.
